good variety... OK Aug 19, 2014

Strawberry Fields is like Murni in SS2 whereby they have an extensive menu catering to all groups. From Thai specialties to western to snacks to local favourites. Even their drink & dessert options are quite huge.

The restaurant itself is a combination of 2 corners with an airy concept. Basic tables & chairs which are comfortable enough. Service is friendly & quick. Prices are decent. Parking can be a pain during peak times. They do open till pretty late like around 2am if not mistaken.

My recommendation would be to go for the Thai dishes. Very flavourful with right amount of spice. All made fresh. Their western options are just so so & best to avoid to be honest.

economical western fare... OK Aug 09, 2014

If you want a cheap western meal head over to Yazid. Better of the 2 at Uptown Hawker Centre. The other being Lanun which is louder & tend to get more customers however Yazid seem to be better in terms of quality & taste.

I like their Sizzling Bombay Steak. The salmon isn't all too bad however nobody goes to these kinda places to eat salmon! Love how the meals come with corn & coleslaw. Both fresh & yummy.

Everyone in Klang Valley knows Murni. The SS2 branch is the pioneer one and it can get so freaking crowded. Tables will be lined up all along the corridor for as far as the eye can see.

Service is quick & attentive. Cleanliness is questionable. There are tonnes of food & drink choices to choose from. Decent quality with affordable prices.

Notable mentions would be the Mee Raja, Chicken Napolean, Loh Shi Fun, Ayam Pandan, Roti Hawaii, Roti Beckham, Chicken Chop Special, Cheese Naan & Nasi Goreng Tom Yam. For drinks/desserts try their Mango or Ribena Special.

late night option... OK Aug 09, 2014

Another one of my late night options. They serve a good varierty of dishes. Cleanliness is average however I prefer to sit outside where its open & airy. Service is pretty decent.

Good choices would be the curry mee, wantan mee, char kway teow, chee cheong fun, grill fish, nasi lemak & hokkien mee. Drinks are the usual however priced slightly more than most places.

decent Kelantan fare... OK Aug 09, 2014

My go to joint whenever I have a Kelantan meal fix. It is a 24 by 7 restaurant chain which serves up a decent fare. Simple decor with tables spaced out nicely. Able to cater quite a number of customers. Outlet has an open concept so it is nice and airy. Service is pretty quick & prices are reasonable.

The nasi kerabu is very good especially with the daging bakar special. Fresh vegetables, yummy gravy, salted egg & the awesome cili sambal. The nasi lemak kukus is also pretty decent. The ayam percik is also worth a try. Much better than the ones you get at pasar malams.

Being a 24 by 7 outlet there are various items on the menu to cater to all. From just a snack to a light meal or something heavy. Rice, bread, noodles, desserts & all sorts of drinks. Worth a visit.
