great pork pizzas & ribs... Smile Aug 08, 2014

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta

Great place for porky goodness. Their pizzas are thin crusted topped with quality ingredients. The accompanying sambal (chilli paste) just takes it over the top. Top choices would be Fay’s Special, Skippys Loaded, Marc's Special and the Meat Lovers.
If you don't fancy a pizza then go for the ribs. They are tender & succulent and come in 2 flavours (7 sauces & spicy). Another few notable mentions would be the Wild Boar Varuvel, Spicy Pork Meatballs, Chicken Wings & the Pulled Pork Burger. You won't regret it.
I haven't really eaten in house but always called them for delivery. Which is how they started. Service is always friendly & prompt. Highly recommended.

good fresh seafood... Smile Aug 08, 2014

This is a great place for seafood lovers. They have an extensive selection which you can see for yourselves in tanks as you walk in. All fresh. Sadly the prices isn't for everyone. Rather on the high side. You can find exotic seafood like geoduck, Alaskan spider crab, Australian snow crab, abalone & lobsters.
Environment wise it is a huge place with tables all over. Gets crowded but turnover is pretty fast. Don't expect fine dining but it is clean & safe.
What draws people back is the freshness, quality & consistency of food. You can have the seafood in various styles like salted egg, BBQ, steamed, baked, fried & even sashimi. All tasting great.
Would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Either for a date, group outing or even business meal.

Ben's is one of the best restaurants in Suria KLCC. They are located in a great place with a lovely decor for any occasion. Love their terrace with a great view of KLCC park which can be romantic at night. We had their Ben's Cheeseburger, Macaroni Cheese and Macadamia Cheesecake. They were all great made with quality ingredients. Very sure will return again to try other items in their menu. They all sound so delectable.
The only downside being the service. At times when busy it gets really slow & it would be hard to get their attention. This can be a downer considering the price & expectation they set.

awesome brunch... Smile Aug 08, 2014

Quar/Tet is this quaint little place located in the suburbs of TTDI. Great place to hangout especially on lazy weekends. Hipster like environment with good music. Service is friendly & quick. Decor is simple & comfortable. Very inviting.
Food options depend on when you arrive. Their dinner menu is only out after 6pm if not mistaken but its best to head here during brunch or tea. Lovely selection of brunch items like french toast, eggs benedict, bagels, big breakfast, salads & pastries. We had the french toast & salmon cream cheese bagel. Both very yummy & fresh. Big portions with decent prices. Drinks wise they have either coffee, tea, juice or milkshakes. The coffee is average however heard the milkshakes are rich & yummy. Got to return to try that out.

yummy bah kut teh... Smile Aug 08, 2014

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Bak Kut Teh

This place is one of the better bah kut teh (BKT) joints in Petaling Jaya. Nothing like chowing down here during a cold wet night. Their soup is full of flavour (not overpowering) packed with all the cuts of pork you fancy. Always add the spare parts (liver, intestine, etc) as those are the best parts when eating BKT. Apart from BKT they also serve up nice braised black mushroom which compliments the BKT well.
It is a normal corner restaurant which is rather open to the elements. No frills just good food with fast service. Highly recommended!
