Yee mee Smile Aug 06, 2012

Not the typical noodle I had opted for.
I love fish head , with the soup but not the vermicelli .. So whenever I'm here , I'll choose Yee Mein!
The soup was added with evaporated milk, and the milk taste was subtle, somehow it's still there..with lots of tomatoes and vegetables... I love it!

The fish head was deep fried until fragrant.. then was placed into the soup , serve together with the noodle...
The rough and hard edge of the fish taste superb!!! There's no fishy smell in it at all!Indeed!
Highly recommended!

Fried Kuey Tiao Smile Aug 06, 2012

I was craving for Char Kuey Tiao on a Sunday afternoon so I dropped by and have my late lunch at SS2 food court.
I was hungry so I ordered another sunshine add-on egg to my kuey tiao..
The egg was fried until the edge were slightly charred and crispy, but the yolk remains runny! (and that's what I love the most).
They kuey tiao was full with aroma.. the charred flavored was super alluring, it kept my saliva triggers, and I can't help but keep shovel the kuey tiao into my mouth..It was indeed a very heaty dish but still, nothing is going to stop me from coming back for more char kway tiao!

Beverage and sauce Smile Aug 06, 2012   (Related Review)

Very well known for their home made 'leong cha' herbal tea..
The sugar cane herbal tea was brew for more than 6 hours, the sugar level of the beverage just fitted my palate.
Even the old folks loves it because the sugar cane taste so pure , and it gives a very mild sweetness apart from the added sugar.
The condiment sauce they provide also taste superb.
The sauce consist of the sour lime juice, aromatic shrimp paste, pungent shallot, garlic and some sweet thai sauce.. everything goes very well together.. it really kick start my appetite !

Black Beer Pai Guat OK Aug 06, 2012   (Related Review)

In short, it's a braised Beer Pork Ribs.... The Ribs were deep fried until crispy, then was coated in a thick layer of marmait sauce/ caramel sauce, with loads of sugar and add with some beer... then undergo a reduction process to make it a drier version dish. The sauces taste exceedingly sweet, and the meat was super tough, but still, manage to chew...
Not to say very good, but it's definitely not a bad dish I've eaten so far.. ;)

Pork Knuckle.. Sounds good even you listen to it's name.

The outer skin layer was deep fried until extremely crispy and crunchy.
Slightly over cooked, but somehow it still taste good... The interior part wasn't that bad either.. Though it's not close to perfection , but somehow , I wasn't expecting too high from this restaurant, so it was , overall, Okay for me...
The sweet sauce at the side gives an extra sweetness to the pork .. and I can't get enough of that!
