Sizzling Chicken Brochette RM26

Sizzling Chicken Brochette RM26

This dish was introduced by the friendly staff, and indeed, it's very nice. There are 2 skewers of chicken cubes skewed with other vegetables like capsicums, carrots and some other vegetables like tomatoes, potatoes, onions and etc served on a hot sizzling plate. Then the staff pour the black pepper sauce of the in front of us, immediately we can smell the aroma of the dish. For those people that don't like black pepper sauce, they also have other choice like Spanish Garlic Cream and Mushroom Sauce. The chicken is very tender and well seasoned. The side dish - potatoes are very nice too, definitely as good as the chicken. The other vegetables are first slightly fried with olive oil then served on the sizzling plate, all are perfectly matched with the sauce.

All food are subject to 10% service charge and 6% government tax.

La Cocina is located at USJ Taipan. USJ Taipan is a very busy town and full of various delicious food. It is quite hard to spot this restaurant without GPS. Another problem to eat at here is the parking problem. It's hard to get a parking here, so park you car immediately once you see any car park lots.

The environment is very nice, with dim lighting, creating a romantic feel for couples, but we come as in a gang of friends, I feel very relax.

La Cocina is a Spanish restaurant, and Paella is a rice dish origin from Spanish, so we must order Paella here. There are a few kind of Paella to choose from, but I and my other friends ordered a Negres Paella (RM70 for 2pax) to share. I don't know what Negres means but we chose this because this is quite special that it's black in colour. The colour is actually comes from the squid ink. This Paella is cooked with saffron which is said to be the most expensive spice in the world. It comes with 2 prawns, 2 mussels, some small shrimps, fish fillet and squid. The taste are just normal though, didn't really meet my expectation, but the seafood are all very fresh, especially for the prawns and mussels. The portion of the rice is quite small too, I suppose it's just almost enough for the portion of 1 person.

The staffs here are all foreigners but are all very cheerful and well-trained. They will refill the sky juice for us consistently and having smile all the time. THUMBS UP for the service.

German Pork Chop Cry Aug 14, 2013

I was planning to eat at Uncle Jang at Puchong that day, but I reached there around 3.30pm, which is their break time, so I have to look for other food to eat nearby there. I searched around and finally found this restaurant. It's a inconspicuous shop rows shop. When I visited there, there were only 1-2 tables of customers consuming there.

I ordered a Pork Chop RM22.90++. I waited for more than half an hour for the food to be served even though there were only a few numbers of customers at that time.

The mashed potato tastes ok, but the sauce are too little.

There are 2 pieces of pork cutlet served, 1 in thinner slice and another one thicker. The thinner slice is still not bad, the meat is still tasteful.

However for the thicker slice, the texture of the meat is too rough and tasteless, not well marinated.
Side Dish- Broccoli

Side Dish- Broccoli

The most disappointing thing is the side dish, broccoli. The vegetables are not fresh at all (as can be seen from the photos).

I'm not sure how about the other food, but the weekdays lunch set is quite cheap.

The environment is not bad, with dim light.

I would actually not visit this restaurant again because the staff there are all showing long face. I always emphasize on the service of any restaurant.

Domino's Pizza Smile Aug 14, 2013

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Halal

Domino is the second largest Pizza chain after Pizza Hut, but for me, Domino are my favorite all the time, because of the generous amount of ingredients and cheese. Their main business way is through delivery and pick up, but not dine in as what Pizza Hut does. They have been introducing more and more new flavors pizza and other snacks from time to time, yet maintaining the quality of their food. Even the dough also comes in many choices, like classic hand tossed, crunchy thin crust, new york crust, cheese burst double decker and extreme edge.

Pepperoni and Aloha Chicken are the most traditional pizza, with simple ingredients and large portion of cheeeeeseee. I ordered a Beef Pepperoni. They guarantee to deliver the pizza on time, and serving the pizza in hot condition. Indeed, they do.

Among so many pizza, I like their new sauce the most, the Top Secret Sauce with creamy, cheesy garlic sauce. It's perfectly matched with the pizza dough and ingredients. The Tuna Temptation is using this sauce as the base sauce. It's as good as the Hawaiian Tuna from the Pizza Hut.

I also ordered a Classified Chicken. It is also served with the Top Secret Sauce.

Yoghurt Snow Ice OK Aug 14, 2013
Categories : Western variety | Café | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato

This dessert cafe has opened for a time already. The targets of the cafe here are mostly university students staying nearby here. So the price is quite affordable too. This is the first time I visited here though. I ordered a Yoghurt Snow Ice RM4.20, with any 3 toppings RM6.00. (The price of each topping range from RM1.00 to Rm1.50)

I chose my favorite topping, Taro Cubes and Sweet Potato Cubes.

For the other topping, I chose Aloe Vera.

The portion of the ice is quite little, the taste is also not really good, yet I can't judge the quality of the shop based on one food, so I will try out the other flavor in the future. The Sweet Potato Cubes is quite chewy but not sweet enough.

Besides this, they also do sell other drinks like Milk Series, Coffee Series, Ice Blended Series, Red Tea Series, Green Tea Series, Fresh Series and Yoghurt Series. They also sell some fried snacks here.

Customers also can play some board games and read some magazines that they provide here.

The other factor that makes me feeling to visit again is the quality of the staff. The staff is very polite, which I think is very important to customers.
