Best Roasted Pork in town Smile Jul 04, 2012

If you are a BBQ pork lover, you will definitely know about this place. During lunch time on weekdays, it's always super long queue.

As expected, their BBQ pork is very delicious, the appearance itself looks very tempting too. The meat very tender and contains just the right amount of fat, it sort of just melted in your mouth upon few bites. The crispy skin layer is superb, I just can't stop eating it. The price is higher than other stalls, but again, you pay for the quality.

Eight Treasure Duck Smile Jul 04, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood

Sek Yuen Restaurant is around for more than 60 years now! The old shop is non-air con, and the interior looks very old fashion.

We had the 'eight treasure duck' for our lunch. You will need to call in to book for the duck at least one day in advanced. The eight treasure duck is filled with lots of ingredients inside, such as gingko, mushroom etc...All the flavours match so well together. The duck meat is so tender, and I really like the gravy!

Quiche Smile Jul 04, 2012

Not feeling too hungry, I only ordered the mushroom quiche for my lunch. The presentation of the dish is gorgeous! The quiche is done very well, the egg filling is blended in with lots of mushroom and cheese, of course. It's baked to a perfect timing I reckon, and I like the texture of the tart. The quiche is served with a handful of rocket salad, a very well-balanced diet.

It was a hot day that we decided to cool ourselves down at the ld town Cafe. The service is slow that day as it's very crowded. We had the Kaya & butter toast (double) (RM3.40), the butter is still freezing cold and hard. Not pleasant.

Lime yogurt smoothie (RM7.50) is very refreshing! However, it actually tastes quite sour, so if you can't stand sourness, don't order this drink!

Oldtown red bean freezy (RM8.50) is a star! Very rich in red bean flavour and the cream on top adds on extra bit of smoothness to the drink! Awesome.

Organic spirulina orange juice (RM5.90) is alright, I find it quite plain though. Healthy is the key here I guess.

Healthy choice Smile Jul 04, 2012

This small eatery is hidden at the corner of The Gardens. Apart from the cafe, this place also sells yoga attires and some stuffs related to health. It's a place that promotes healthy lifestyle and diet.

We only ordered desserts for our afternoon tea. The apple crumbles is yummy. Big chunks of apples at the bottom and lots of crunchy crumbles on top. Very balanced.

The Creme Brulee might not look good due to the charred surface, but it tastes delicious. Not overly sweet, the pudding itself is smooth and creamy. Well done.
