Italiannies @ Paradigm Mall Smile Mar 19, 2016

Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta

Italiannies is one of the restaurant that serves delicious Spaghetti especially their creamy sauce Spaghetti. After our fruitful experience at Italiaanies, The Curve. We decided to try their Paradigm Mall outlet. Italiannies is located at Concourse, Paradigm Mall (Opposite To Komugi Bakery). We were welcomed by the staff at the entrance and then he seated us in the booth seating area. It was crowded when we arrived around 2pm but the crowd started to slow down later on. After going through the menu, we ordered Set Lunch that is more valuable than ordering Ala-Cate. Set lunch are valid from 11am-3pm on weekdays and it includes Drink (Ice Lemon Tea), Starter (Soup Of The Day, Salad & Tomato Bruschetta), Main Course and add on RM 5 for a Desert.

Ice Lemon Tea was unlimited refill.

Complimentary Breads was served once seated and it is good to have while waiting for the foods.

Tomato Bruschetta is tasty but the sauce is not my cup of tea. My sister loved it.

Soup of the Day was good. Mushroom + Chicken mixed together to make a bowl of comforting soup yet Chilli's soup was much more better than this!!!

Soft Shell Crab Spaghetti was delicious. Crunchiness of the Soft Shell Crab complements the spaghetti perfectly while creamy sauce adds an additional taste.

Soft Shell Crab Spaghetti @ RM 22.90

Potato Gnocchi is something new I tried but it was super duper yummy with creamy sauce, mushroom and bacon. Yummy!!

Potato Gnocchi @ RM 18.91

Combination of Raisine, Bread and Milk in the dessert is intoxicating delicious after a big meal.

Bread & Pudding @ RM 5

It was a good lunch for us. Delicious foods, friendly & effective service and valuable set lunch. The foods was too full for us and we couldn’t finish manage to finish it and take away 50% of the remaining food.

My friend came all the way from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur to celebrate my Boyfriend Birthday. Therefore, I decided to have lunch at Outback Steakhouse, Nu Sentral Mall. There are 2 reasons why I choose this particular restaurant. First, we need to go Nu Sentral Mall to pick him up and 2 there is a 50% discount from Off-Peak for all the foods in the Ala-Care menu expect Alcoholic Beverages. Sounds Cool right!! Outback Steakhouse is located Lower-ground, Nu Sentral Mall ( Next To Espresso Lab). It is a restaurant originated from America and it is their 2nd outlets in Malaysia. We were welcomed by the staff at the entrance and he sits us on the 4 pax table. A couple of people occupied the restaurant when we arrived around 3.30p.m. They have Indoor and Outdoor seating area for the customer. The outdoor seating will be facing the main road of Brickfields (Most Happening Indian Area in Kuala Lumpur "LITTLE INDIA") We ordered Appetizer Duo, Iced Lemon Tea, 8 Sirloin, No Rules Burger, Add On soup and Dessert Duo.

Ice Lemon Tea was unlimited refills.

Ice Lemon Tea @ RM 8.95

Complimentary bread to munch while waiting for the foods.

The Soup was yummy. Simple and have a rich potato taste.

Add On Soup @ RM 7.95

Most recommended appetizer at Outback Steakhouse "FRIED MUSHROOM". Crispy on the outside while soft and juicy on the inside. I can just have them alone without any sauce while their Blue Cheese Dipping a Sauce is not my cup of tea. My sister liked it. It does not impress me much as I had a very big expectation after everyone was talking so great about it.

Appetizer Duo @ RM 22.95

Appetizer Duo is inclusive of Chicken Wing and Fried Mushroom. Chicken wing was tender and juicy with a good spicy kick (We Choose Spicy Flavour) but a bit oily.

8 Sirloin was okay. According to my Boyfriend it is maybe a frozen piece of meat as it tasted chewy and not tender enough. Really needed a sauce to go with it but I loved their Mashed Potato and Vegetables more than the Sirloin.

8 Sirloin @ RM 49.95

No Rules Burger was okay. The patty had insufficient seasonings so it tasted blend to us. My friend was a little disappointed as he was really hoping for a delicious burger. Big portion but it failed to impress us.

No Rules Burger @ RM 28.95

Dessert Duo was sinfully delicious and most satisfied dish of the day for us. Chocolate and Cheesecake lovers, this is the perfect desert treat for everyone.

Desert Duo @ RM 22.95

It was just an okay lunch for us, nothing to shout about and consider okay for us. I would definitely think twice to visit here again for a meal.

Kai's Plato @ Kota Damansara OK Mar 19, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Seafood

My Boyfriend love SEAFOODS and I wanted to bring him to a place where he can enjoy the foods and at the same time we can Chit Chat as well without any disturbance (Handphones). Therefore, I Google for a perfect place that falls perfectly into the category and I manage to find it as well. "KAI'S PLATO" a popular seafood restaurant in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya with good reviews. I called them 2 weeks in advance to make a reservation and the staff asked me to Whatsapp the details to him like Name, Number of Pax, Time & Date to him and then my reservation was confirmed. He even send me the details of the menu to have a look. Kai's Plato is located at Kota Damansara, Nearby Sunway Giza Shopping Mall. They called me on the day of reservation to double confirm the booking. We were welcomed by the staff at the entrance and I informed them about our reservation and then he just brought us to our table. A couple of people occupied the restaurant when we arrived at 7.30pm.

Wine is on the house if you are celebrating your birthday there (Must be a day before your birthday, the day itself or a day after your birthday). They will check your ID for confirmation to be eligible for the free Birthday wine reward.

Captain Platter (4 Pax) @ RM 260

After waiting for a few minutes, the giant steamer with seafoods was placed in front of us and we cannot wait to open it to see what is hidden inside the giant steamer. Once it is placed on the table, the staff will explain about The way of enjoying it and also about their unique concepts. It was good, but not something to shout about for me as the main thing we noticed their seafoods was not cleaned properly especially their crabs. There were sand on it when they serve it to us. I prefer my seafoods well cleaned like my mum before preparing it.

We loved was their attentive service, delicious dipping sauce for the seafoods, complimentary wine and gorgeous presentation of the foods. Seafoods that I liked in their Captain Platter are Lobster (Fresh & Meaty), Cheese Baked Mussels, Scallop, Abalone and Oyster.

All of us loved their soup at the bottom of the steamer. That was sinfully delicious. Thumbs Up!!

It was a nice birthday celebration for us but RM 312 for 4 persons. I really have to reconsider again, maybe I can go for a better Steamboat with the money. How about you guys?.

After my mind blowing food experience at Manmaru Robatayaki (Atria Shopping Gallery) I decided to try Manmaru Homemade Udon at Midvalley for dinner. Moreover I also got a Voucher "BUY 1 FREE 1 UDON" from Worthybook. Manmaru Homemade Udon is located at S, Midvalley Megamall (Next to a Thai Restaurant). We were welcomed by the staff at the entrance and he seated us at the 4pax table. A couple of people occupied the restaurant when we arrived around 5.30pm. Too early for dinner I guess. The ambiance of the restaurant gives a very warm feeling to us. We ordered Hot Green Tea, Kamo Nanban Udon, Fukahire An Kake Udon and Sashimi Udon.

Green Tea (Unlimited) @ RM 4

Kamo Nanban Udon was tasty and not too salty. Duck Meat was soft and juicy. Good!!

Kami Nanban Udon @ RM 17.90

Fukahire An Kake Udon was served with delicious Shark Fin Broth. Nice and very big portion until my sister cannot finish it and she decided to take away.

Fukahire An Kake Udon @ RM 25.90

Free Maitake was good. Crispy on the outside while juicy & tender on the inside. We enjoyed eating them with the dipping sauce.

Sashimi Udon was yummy and I have just fallen in love with it in the first bite. It is a cold udon served with a creamy sauce and had a good hint of Wasabi taste. Just yummy and I loved it.The Sashimi was fresh and it just melts in my mouth. Perfect!!

Sashimi Udon @ RM 32.90

It was a good dinner for us. Everything was delicious and presentation was gorgeous as well like Manmaru Robatayaki. Friendly service and sure drop by again for their Udon.

I come across this restaurant crowded with people during lunch So I told my sister if we happen to be in Brickfields in future we should give it a try. Restaurant Visalatchis is located at Jalan Scott, Brickfields (Same row with Vishal Food & Catering's). They serve Banana Leaf Rice, Briyani for lunch with some other vegetarian and non- vegetarian dishes. A couple of people occupied the cafe when we arrived around 12pm but it started filling up later on. We ordered 2 Banana Leaf, Fried Fish, Chicken Varuval and Take Away Briyani.

Banana Leaf Rice was delicious. No complains about their curries and side dishes as everything was good. Only drawback was the vegetables was cooked with their skins and I don't like to eat vegetable with skin. While, for their spinach I think they should use Red Colour Chillies rather than Green Colour Chilies. But for the price of RM 6. No big complains.

I walked over to their counter to see what they have for the day.The aunty explained to me each of their dishes and I choose Chicken Varuval as it looks attractive to me. It was full of spices and tender but they have more bones than the meat. Disappointed!!

Chicken Varuval @ RM 6

Fried Fish was flavorful and tender. Once your Banana Leaf Rice is served, the staff will carry a tray full of fried items to your table to choose what you want to have and my sister chooses Fried Fish as it is her all time favorite in Banana Leaf Restaurant.

Fried Fish @ RM 6

Complimentary Rasam and Mooru.

Chicken Briyani was yummy. It was served with a piece of chicken drumstick and chicken gravy since if you take away. But if you are dining in, then you will be served with other vegetable side dishes as well. Chicken Briyani @ RM 12

It was a good lunch for us. Friendly and fast service, despite the crowd. Easy to get a car parking on Friday around 12pm-1pm which is very good for us. Sure, drop by again to try their other Non- Vegetarian dishes as it looks yummy too.
