All my friends were spamming my Instagram wall with Hanbing Korean Dessert Cafe and it really attracted me to give it a try especially their Blueberry Cheese Snow Ice. My sister and I went there for late lunch. Hanbing Korean Dessert Cafe is located same row with Dip N Dip, Bangsar. They are popular for their Korean Dessert but they do serve food & beverages in their menu. They are also having an special set menu that is valid from 12pm-8pm. We were welcomed by the staff once entered the cafe and we choose our own place to be seated. Once seated they serve an us with a glass of drink (I think it’s a kind of Korean Drink) The ambiance of the cafe was good with nice lightings and comfortable. A couple of people occupied the cafe when we arrived at 4pm but it was started filling up quickly later on. After going though the menu, we ordered Set C.

Good to drink while waiting for the foods.

Korean Tea of the Day was delicious and we liked it.

Set C includes of Korean Spicy Chicken, Cheese Topokki, Korean Tea Of the Day and Blueberry Cheese Snow Ice.

Set C @ RM 32.80

Cheese Topokki was okay for us.

Tender and Juicy fried chicken topped with spicy sauce. Sauce was not a good combination for the chicken and it does not get along well yet the fried chicken was good.

Blueberry Cheese Snow Ice was yummy. We loved it. It just melt in our mouth. Cheese + Blueberry is always a wining combination and it my favorite too but the portion was rather small for us.

It was an okay lunch for us. Foods are good but not something to "WOW" about except the desserts and the portions are rather small even an Ala-Cate foods from what I observed. It is consider pricey compare to my normal Korean Restaurant. Would I drop by again? Maybe for the desert but I still have to think twice as a bowl of desert can cost me RM 30++ with Service Charge + GST. If a group of 3 person dine-in be ready to pay around RM 90-RM 100 when everyone orders each bowls of dessert for themselves.

Service Charge: 10%

It will be always crowded whenever we pass by so I Google the restaurant and find out that they are famous for their Curry Fish Head. My sister and I went there for dinner as my sister is a big fan of fish curry. Restaurant Ratha Raub is located at Damansara Uptown. It was crowded when we arrived and their Ground Floor was full house so we find our way to Upstairs to look for an empty table to sit. Thank God!! There were few empty tables available at upstairs so we seat at one of them. After waited for 5 minutes and a couple of time pressing the call button finally a staff took our order. Yeah!! Each table is placed with a call button and it is working or not is a question mark for us? Make sure to call the staff to take your order. If you want to wait for them to come to you a take your order, I think you guys have to wait for ages. So please make sure to get their attention and order your foods. After waited for 25 minutes, our foods were served in our table. After taking a couple of photos, we were impatient to dig in. The ambiance of the restaurant was okay. We ordered Claypot Ayam Varuval, Kari Ikan and Limau Ais. Limau Ais was medicore and way too lemony for us. We don't like it and we never bother to take a second sip.

Limau Ais @ RM 2.30

Claypot Chicken Varuval was yummy. An unforgettable combination of spicy and rich taste of herbs. We finished it off. Yummy!!

Claypot Chicken Varuval @ RM 8.50

Kari Ikan was rich and mildly spicy. We loved it. You can ask for more curry if it’s not sufficient.

Kari Ikan @ RM 7.50

It was a good dinner for us. Delicious food but the waiting time is just too long for us. If nobody takes your order after waiting for more than 10minutes, please go to their cashier counter and order your foods and inform them your table number instead of waiting for the staff to take your orders.

I think you guys know that Carl's Jr is one of the fast food joint famous for Burger and everyone know that the burger is considered expensive compared to their competitors MCD and Burger King. Is it worth paying a higher price for a fast food burger? Let’s find out together. My Boyfriend always tell me that their Burgers are delicious so he brought me to have dinner at their 1 Utama Shopping Centre outlet. Carl's Jr is located next to the Pasta Zanmai, 1 Utama Shopping Centre (Old Wing). They serve Burger, Salad, Side Orders and Beverages. A couple of people occupied the restaurant when we arrived around 7pm. The ambiance is almost like other fast food restaurant but it was clean and the table is very spacious. Each table is occupied with a box of tissue. You have to order and pay at the counter. Once your order is done, they will give you a number to place it at the edge of the table and they serve the foods to your table. We ordered Portobello Combo that is recommended by the staff and I ordered Chilli Fries as I am not hungry and I thought maybe we can share the foods together.

Soft Drink was unlimited refills and they even give a fresh lemon slices for the drinks. Something new to the fast food concept.

Fries was tasty. It was freshly fried and not soggy.

Here comes the star of the dinner "BURGER". The bread was toasted good and served with fresh vegetables. I really can taste the beef but I found the meat was too thin for the price we paid as I can get a thicker slice of meat at any other Burger joint.

Portobello Burger @ RM 23.86

Chilli Fries was okay for me. I think it would be better if it served with melted cheese instead of just placing the grated cheese on the top of it. It was not to my expectations but the sauce was pretty good and they are very generous with the sauce.

Chilli Fries @ RM 10.19

Well my conclusion is their Burger is better than MCD and Burger King but I expect something more than that. Maybe I have a higher level of expectations.

Win Soon Café @ SS2 Smile Feb 08, 2016

Categories : Chinese | Café | Noodles

Me and my boyfriend went SS2 to photostat some stuff in the morning as it is easier to get car parking in the morning compare to the afternoon. We decided to have lunch at Win Soon Cafe as our car is parked directly opposite to the cafe and it is crowded with people. So it just attracted me to try it out. Win Soon Cafe is located at SS2. It was crowded when we arrived so we find our own place to seat and waited few minutes to get our menu. After going through the menu, we ordered Fish Head Meehoon and Tom Yam Fish Paste. You have to write your own order on the order sheet and pass it to the staff. The ambiance of the cafe was like an old Kopitiam environment.

Tom Yam Fish Paste was delicious. It has a nice Tom Yum flavour and a good spicy kick in the soup. My Boyfreind Loved it. When I try this I have already fix in my mind that I should bring my sister here to try this as I am pretty sure she gonna loved it.

Tom Yam Fish Paste @ RM 11.90

Fish Head Meehoon was simply delicious. There is a generous amount of fish chunks in the noodle bowl. It was light and a comforting bowl of noodles.

Fish Head Meehoon @ RM 11.90

It was a good lunch for us. Service was a bit slow as it was crowded with people for lunch and it is quite difficult to get their attentions. 1 Bowl of noodles is more than enough for me and I was full by the time I finished half of the bowl so I feel it was just wasted. Maybe I should order 1 bowl of noodle and order other side dishes to share when I go with my sister next round to avoid food wastage.

Eat Me Dessert Cafe @ Bangsar OK Feb 08, 2016
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Western variety | Café | Desserts

My friend recommends me this cafe Eat Me Bangsar for their dessert and I read a mixed reviews about this cafe online. If there is any restaurant have mixed 50% (Positive) - 50% (Negative), I don't mind trying it out myself. Therefore me and my sister went there for supper to find out whether it's worth trying or not. Eat me is located in Bangsar, Jalan Telawi 2 next to the KGB. They only serve desserts and beverages. We were welcomed by the staff at the entrance and she gave us the menu once we seated. After going through the menu, we ordered Churros and Salted Caramel Pralines. The environment was lovely to have dessert. The pink and white colour theme was just perfect and it reminds me of my childhood days. I loved their table nearby the window. They have indoor and outdoor seating area for the customer to choose from. It was empty when we arrived around 8pm but it was filling up later.

Salted Caramel Pralines was good but I wish to have more flavour of Salted Caramel instead of milk flavour. The plus point of this drink is that it was not too sweet so its suitable for everyone.

Salted Caramel Pralines @ RM 12.50

Perfectly fried Churros with a hint of sour taste was just perfect. Dip them in a delicious plain chocolate and enjoy. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get this and it is stated in their menu. Be patient. Patience is a key to the great foods!!

Churros @ RM 13.50

It was good dessert time with my sister. Friendly service especially the Lovely Girl who served us " CHEERFUL GIRL". she even placed a glass of warm water in our table although we didn’t request it. I loved it. Sure drop by again to try another dessert in their menu.
