Indian Kitchen @ Bangsar Smile Apr 24, 2016

I get to know about this restaurant during my visit to the Idly Only Cafe. I have stated in my Idly Only Cafe post that Idly Only Cafe and Indian Kitchen Share the same premise. So when we went to dine-in at Idly Only Café, we were served with both restaurant menus and I was actually attracted to Indian Kitchen Set Lunch Menu.Priced reasonably for a piece of Tandoori Chicken + Naan + Chicken Curry + Condiments + Drinks at RM 15. The price range between RM 12- RM 20 for their set lunch, only valid on weekdays (12pm- 3pm). So I ordered Tandoori Set for Take away.

I decided to have the drink at the restaurant while waiting for my take-away food to be prepared. Bru Coffee was aromatic and it is heaven to have while waiting for the foods.

Bru Coffee (FOC)

Tandoori chicken was well tenderized and not overcooked. Meat breaks apart from the bone easily. It was lovely to eat together with the Naan. I also love their Paneer Curry that goes perfect with the Naan while their Chicken Curry was just average.

Tandoori Set @ RM 15

It was super good lunch. Delicious food with reasonable price. It is undeniable that this restaurant manages to pull the working people crowd in Bangsar Area for lunch. Sure drop by again for their set lunch. Actually only their Express Set Lunch is allowed to take away but the staff we ordered our food were unaware of it (New Boy) so he let us take away the Tandoori Set.

The Naan was good and not chewy, I liked it.

Idli Only Cafe @ Bangsar Smile Apr 24, 2016

My friends shared post about Idly Only Cafe in Facebook and I was hookd by it.Idly is one of my favorite food for Breakfast and so far I have only eaten the Normal Idly and Rava Idly. The names on the menu are pretty new to new, neither I heard it nor taste it before. Therefore, me and my sister planned to have it for lunch as both of us loves to eat Idly. Idly Only Cafe is located at Bangsar. They only serve Idly. Yeah!! Seriously. I am not kidding. The ambiance of the cafe was cozy. A couple of people occupied the cafe when we arrived at 1.30pm. Actually, Idly Only Cafe and Indian Kitchen share the same premise but they have a separate kitchen. We ordered Variety Idly Set and Buttermilk.

Buttermilk was medicore for me. They blend all the herbs & spices together rather than serving them as a whole (Cumin & Curry Leaf) So it was quite unpleasant to drink for me.

Buttermilk @ RM 4

After waited for about 15 minutes, our Idly was served. The set inclusive of Normal Idly, Rava Idly, Masala Idly and Butter Podi Idly. The Idly was soft and among all the varieties of Idly, I loved their Butter Podi Idly the most. It was something new but it never fails to impress me. So Gooood!!

Variety Idly Set @ RM 30

Condiments to eat with the Idly. Tomato Chutney, Coconut Chutney, Sambar and Podi. I liked to eat my Idly with Sambar, Tomato Chutney and Podi.

It was a good lunch for us. In my opinion, it is worth trying. RM 30 for a set of Idly may sound expensive but if you really do a simple mathematic calculation, I guess it is not that pricy though. So I will definitely drop by again for their Butter Podi Idly, Podi, Sambar and Tomato Chutney.

Tsujiri @ Damansara Uptown Smile Apr 24, 2016

It is always a perfect idea to have Ice-Cream in an Extremely Hot Weather. Do you guys agree? So after our dinner at Annie 1, I decided to have Green Tea Ice-Cream for supper. All of a sudden, I became a crazy fan of green Tea. Tsujiri is located at Damansara Utama (Next to Miru Dessert Cafe). They only serve Green Tea Products at the moment from drinks to desserts. A couple of people occupied the cafe when we arrived around 8.30pm. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas. You have to order and pay at the counter. I ordered O-Matcha Soft Ice-Cream.

O- Matcha Soft Ice-Cream was good. It was smooth and has a good green tea taste but it melts pretty quickly that I have to finish it fast. I guess I Should blame the weather for this!! A Cone topped with a beautiful swirl of Green Tea Ice-Cream.

O- Matcha Soft Ice-Cream @ RM 6.50

Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Dim sum

Tuck Cheong is a popular Dim Sum restaurant in Pudu. Recently all of us (Me, My Sister & My boyfriend) was craving for Dim Sum therefore we planned to go Tuck Cheong for Breakfast. In most of the website it stated that they will be start selling around 6.30am until sold out. So we thought it would be good to drop by around 9.30am for breakfast as it won't be crowded. Restaurant Tuck Cheong is located behind Kompleks Ruby. It was crowded when we arrived but the bad news is most of the Dim Sum was sold out and only Taufu Varieties left. You have to choose your own Taufu at the entrance before entering the restaurant. We choose a couple of Taufu, 1 Dim Sum, Red Bean Pau, Kaya Pau and Chinese Tea Pot.

Both Pau's are good. No big comments.

Taufu was okay. It manages to fill our hunger and the sauce make it a memorable dish.

Dim Sum was delicious. It is one of the food we really liked among all the foods.

It was a good breakfast. Not something great and not something bad as well. Maybe we should drop by early to try their Dim Sum in the future. Total bill was RM 22.80 for foods & drinks.

Restaurant Devi's Corner @ TTDI OK Apr 24, 2016

Devi's Corner is one of the popular Banana Leaf restaurants in Bangsar. I was more than happy when I get to know that they opened a new branch at TTDI. Therefore, we planned to have Banana Leaf Rice there. Devi's Corner is located at TTDI (Next to Wood & Steel Cafe). They serve Mamak Style Economy Rice, Roti Canai, Beverages and other dishes except Banana Leaf Rice. Yeah!! They don't serve Banana leaf Rice in their TTDI branch and I was so disappointed with this. I went all the way to TTDI for Banana Leaf Rice but now I have no choice but to choose other dishes for lunch. We choose to eat Mamak Style Economy Rice. You have to walk over to their counter and choose the dishes you want. The staff will walk over to your table and see what you have taken and writes the bill for you.

Complimentary Papadum

I choose Sotong Sambal & Cabbage. Sotong Sambal was so spicy that burns my tongue and stomach at the end of the meal but I still like it. I know it is not good for health, but once in a while, it should be okay right!! Actually, I was pretty attracted to the reddish Colour of it and I too wanted to have something spicy for lunch. Non-spicy lovers please be aware of it. Just double check with the staff about their spiciness level before taking any reddish colour dish.

It was an okay lunch for me as I was hoping to eat Banana Leaf Rice with Crab Curry. In my opinion, their Banana Leaf Rice is much more amazing. This meal was good too but I prefer their Banana Leaf Rice more. I probably should just stick to their Bangsar Branch in the future. The Total bill for my food was RM 7.
