We pass by this restaurant on our way to
dinner at Ainnie 1. It attract us with the warm environment and new look and
there are not many Thai Restaurant in Damansara Uptown. So we wanted to have a
look at their menu but they are not officially opened yet. So sad!! Therefore,
we planned to drop by in future once they are officially opened. Therefore,
when there is a sudden crave for Pad Thai, this restaurant came to my mind
therefore we went there for dinner. The restaurant offers limited Thai food
choices but covers all the popular & must eat Thai foods. We are welcomed
by the host at the entrance before seating on the comfortable table. The
ambiance of the restaurant was good, cool and comfortable table for 4 person
and we no need to squeeze with each other while eating. Couple of people
occupied the cafe when we arrived as it still new. We ordered Classic Pad Thai
Noodles, Pineapple Fried Rice, Green Curry Fried Rice and Mango Sticky Rice.

Refillable water.

Green curry fried rice was something unique than the normal green curry. It was served with chicken wing, egg and special sauce. It was spicy and well flavoured with green curry. Tasty!!

Green Curry Fried Rice @ RM 16

Classic Pad Thai Noodles was simple yet tasty. It has a perfect balance of the sweet and tangy flavour.

Classic Pad Thai Noodles @ RM 15

I was happy to see Pineapple fried rice served in real pineapple. It tasted similar to the one we had in Phuket. Stir fried rice sweetened with pineapple and spices. They are very generous with amount of the prawns.

Pineapple Fried Rice @ RM 16

Mango Sticky Rice was yummy. The mango was sweet and goes well with the sticky rice. I wish they serve more mangos in future as it was not enough to eat with the sticky rice.

Mango Sticky Rice @ RM 12

It was perfect dinner for us. The environment was clean, friendly service, delicious foods and gorgeous presentations. Sure, everyone wanted to snap picture to post in Instagram.

HarajuCube @ Empire Damansara Smile Sep 01, 2015

Had a farewell with our classmates at
Haraju Cube as none of us tried Haraju Cube before. It took us 30 minutes to
reach Empire Damansara from our college since there was no traffic jam. Haraju
Cube is located above Metal Box, Empire Damansara. The cafe was full house when
we arrived therefore we have to wait 10 minutes for our turn as we are big
group of people. The cafe serves Beverage and Desserts. The cafe was filling up
quickly with people even though it was 4pm but the turnover was pretty quick.
The ambiance of the cafe was good but it was a bit hot inside during our visit.
They have both indoor and outdoor seating area but we prefer to sit inside, as
it was hot outside. You have to order and pay at the counter and please quote
your table number while ordering the foods and the food will be sent to your
table. I ordered Strawbelicious and Azuki- Matcha.

Strawbelicious is toast box served with Vanilla Ice-Cream, Whipped Cream, Fresh Strawberry and dizzied with brown sugar. It just melted in our mouth. The crunchiness from the toast bread, smoothness and the sweet from the Vanilla Ice-Cream and the sour taste from the fresh strawberry are heaven.

Strawbelicious @ RM 25.90

Green Tea is a toast box with Green Tea Ice Cream, Whipped Cream and dizzied with brown sugar. It has a very rich green tea flavour and it would be heaven for green tea lovers. Yummy!!

Azuki- Matcha @ RM 25.90

It was a good hangout with my classmates. The dessert was yummylicious and humble service by the staff. Avoid the lunch hours if you don’t want to wait for the tables and they also have free water service for the customer but it is self-service.

Sae Ma Eul BBQ Smile Aug 01, 2015

Waze makes my life easier to explore good food all around Petaling Jaya. I heard a good review about Sae Ma Eul Korean BBQ therefore me and my sister planned to try them. Sae Ma Eul is located at Solaris Mont Kiara and it was full house when we pass by the restaurant to find a car parking and for your information finding a car park is super difficult during the dinner and people tend to double-park their cars. Sae Ma Eul Korean BBQ serves a very limited menu like BBQ Items, Soup and Drinks. The restaurant was full house when we arrived and already a bunch of people waiting outside for their turn. Once we reach there, we are given a number to wait for our turn. After about 30 minutes, we got our table outside the restaurant (Open Space). Yeah!! They do have indoor and outdoor seating area. We ordered BBQ Set, Spicy Balls and complimentary water.

Kimchi was delicious. It is one of the best Kimchi I ever tried in any Korean Restaurant.

You have to order minimum 2 BBQ Dishes to have BBQ foods therefore, we choose BBQ Set that are cheaper. BBQ Set includes Pork Shoulder (2 slices), Pork Belly (3-4 Slices) and octopus (6-7 pieces).
BBQ SET @ RM 57
Pork Belly was crispy and good.

Pork Shoulder was just 2 slices. It was meaty, tender and it managed to satisfy me in every bites. Place the barbecued meat, Kimchi and Cucumber on the lettuce and wrap them together and have it.
Waiting for the food to barbecue make us drooling.

I love their spicy rice balls. Mix them together until the sauce are perfectly mixed and make them into a small balls before barbecue them over the fire. The texture was crunchy on the outside and soft inside. It was spicy and flavourful at the same time. Cute and yummy balls!!
Spicy Rice Balls @ RM 22

Ready to barbecue.

Octopus is the star of the dish. The octopus was fresh, juicy and grilled perfectly. I loved them.

It was a perfect dinner for us. The foods are yummy and friendly service. The handsome guy helped us to barbecue the foods without even requesting and the way he does it was so professional. Go there after 9pm to avoid the crowd, if you don’t wish to wait like us. The food was more than enough for 2 person and we take away the balance spicy rice balls and meats.

Le Bread Days is the talk of the town for their Molten Salted Egg Yolk Croissants in Petaling Jaya. We passby their Bakery after our terrific lunch so me and my sister wanted to drop by to buy Molten Salted Egg Yolk, maybe its not sold out yet. Moreover, it looks quite clear without any crowd queuing outside the bakery. The staff told me to wait for 15 minutes for their croissant to be done. Luckily, less than 15 minutes I manage to get a piping hot Molten Salted Egg Croissants freshly out from the oven.

I hold it like a treasure in my hand all the way back to my home and my sister keep on laughing at me. Once reached home, I quickly placed it on the plate and take a couple of photos. My sister cut the croissant and the Salted Egg Yolk ooze out from the croissants like a GOLDEN LAVA. It was just too addictive and I was really regretted for not buying more. Its our favourite now. Thumbs up!!

A unique name for a cafe and I guess the name itself tells us that this cafe owner loves cycling. I heard a very good review about this cafe from my friends therefore me and my sister went there for dinner. The Grumpy Cyclist is located at TTDI, Petaling Jaya (Next to Namaste Indian Restaurant). The cafe serves Beverages, Cakes and a couple of main courses. We were welcomed by the staff at the entrance and he leads us to the cashier counter to order the foods. Yeah!! You have to order and pay at the counter. Once your order is done, they will serve the foods to your table. We ordered Gran Fondo, Pasta Di Bici and Mini Palkova. A couple of people occupied the cafe when we arrived at 7pm. The ambiance of the cafe was cool with bicycle hanging on the wall and tables with T-Shirts. They have indoor and outdoor (Smoking Area) seating area for the customer.

The Gran Fondo was gorgeous. A Plate of Toasted Bread, Bacon, Sausages, Baked Beans, Salad and beautiful Eggs creates the perfect choice for dinner. Baked bean was cooked with spices rather than served blend. The generous amount of vegetables was tossed with good Balsamic vinegar. I loved their dressings. Bacon was yummy and the sausages were boiled instead of fry. Healthy!! The guy who served the foods was so humble. He greeted us and explained to us about the food before serving it on the table.

The Gran Fondo @ RM 18.87

Pasta Di Bici was recommended by the staff. It looks small when it was served on our table, but I am full by the time I finished half of it. It was cooked perfectly with the spices. Best Aglio Olio I had recently. I liked it.

Pasta Di Bici @ RM 15.09

Since we were seated next to the dessert counter, I was really attracted to the Mini Palkova. Therefore, I add on that for our dessert after the dinner. Beautiful crust with cream, fresh fruit and cumin seeds. It is just to die for. Every mouthful was heaven and it always a perfect choice to end a meal with dessert.

It was a good dinner for us. Friendly & humble service, delicious foods and reasonable price. Sure, drop by again.
