When I told my friend about this cafe, she was super excited to give it a try therefore we planned to have it for breakfast before our shopping at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre. Yellow Brick Road is located at Damansara Heights, Nearby Help University. They don’t have free car parking; it is RM 2 per hour. We were welcomed by the staff at the entrance and seated us in the 7 people table as it was the only table available inside the cafe. Yeah!! It was full house when we arrived around 9.30am. The ambiance of the cafe was lovely with beautiful Christmas decorations. They have both indoor and outdoor seating area and there is a giant Christmas tree outside the cafe for Christmas. I ordered Cheesy Mr Mac, Pulled Beef Benedict and Mint Verbena.

Mint Verbena was lovely. Green Tea + Mint were good combination. Refreshing to have it early in the morning.

Mint Verbena @ RM 9

Muffin with poached eggs, broccoli and pulled beef is a brunch to satisfy the heartiest of appeties. Asparagus is replaced with broccoli as asparagus it out of stock that day but this combination is good as well.

Pulled Beef Benedict @ RM 25

Cheesy Mr Mac was cheesy, rich and definilty a guilty pleasure. 1 bowl is more than enough to satisfy your chesse cravings for the month.

Chessy Mr Mac @ RM 18

It was wonderful breakfast for us before our shopping. Good service, delicious foods but the car pakring is a drawback for me. Sure drop by again for breakfast as it is located on the way to the college.

Sugar Rush @ Section 16 Smile Jan 12, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Café | Desserts

Everyone loves desserts. Soft, fluffy cake with butter icing or cake coated with chocolate sure can put smile in everyone face. So when I know Sugar Rush is selling more than 30 types of cakes for the customers, I was so happy to hear that news and then what’s next? Of course, pay them a visit right to try it out myself. After our dinner at Ainnie 1, we went Sugar Rush for supper. Sugar Rush is located at Section 16. A bunglow house that will sure amaze you once you entre their car parking. It is such a nice place for a desserts. Yeah!! They have their own car parking but very limited place. We were greeted with the smiley face when entered the cafe and once entered, I straight away went to the cake counter to see what they have. The ambiance of the cafe was lovely, the cakes are placed in the middle of the cafe surrounded with tables. Gorgeous right! I really had difficult time in choosing what to have as everything looks drooling to me and finally I settled down for Chocolate, Semolina Almond, Long Black (Hot) and Mocha (Hot). You have to order and pay at the counter. Once your order is done, they will serve the foods to the tables.

Mocha, coffee and dark chocolate are the classic combinations. Its rich and slighty sweet .

Mocha Hot @ RM 12

This is for the chocoholics. There is chocolate and cream in this beautiful cake then for a rich finish it was topped with the beautiful chocolate ganache. Heaven!!

Chocolate @ RM 15.80

Semolina Almond was yummy but I found it a bit dry for my liking. When you eat them together with the cream, it tasted good.

Semolina Almond @ RM 16.80

It was a perfect place for cake as the cakes are not sugary and they have varieties of choices to satisfy everyones needs or tastebuds. Lovely environment but there are mosquitoes at night, maybe because of rainy season other than that everything was great. They are working happily and not for the sake of salary.

We were so stressed out doing assignment in the house by just facing the
walls and gadgets all day, so we planned to go Frisson Coffee Bar to do
assignment. Frisson coffee bar is located just next to the "Fat
Spoon", Damansara Utama. The cafe serves Pasta, Desserts, Pizza, Salad,
Croissant, Bruschetta and Beverages. The ambiance of the cafe was simple, cosy
and perfect to do our assignment (Relaxed, no noises). Couple of people
occupied the cafe when we arrived around 3pm as they are having promotion
"50% any slice of cake for every order of coffee" therefore we
ordered Hot Cafe Latte, Flat White, Peppermint Ganache Pie, Dark Chocolate
Cake, Bruschetta Berries and Bruschetta Salmon Egg.

Bruschetta topped with sliced egg, smoked salmon and sauce is simply delicious. I loved it. Bruschetta Salmon Egg @ RM 5.80

Bruschetta spread with jam and topped with berries. Sweetness from the jam contrast well with sourness from the berries. Bruschetta Berries @ RM 5.80

Flat White has strong coffee flavour, less foam and served with latte art on the top.

Flat White @ RM 10

Hot Cafe Latte is milder in taste and heavier on the milk. Perfect option for my sister.

Hot Cafe Latte @ RM 10

The rich chocolate ganache and the refreshing taste from the peppermint is a combination made in heaven. If guys love chocolate and peppermint like me then this pie is to die for.

Peppermint Ganache Pie @ RM 10 (Hot Selling item according the staff)

Dark Chocolate Cake is just so delicious; the combination of the chocolate and salted caramel was amazing.

Dark Chocolate Cake @ RM 15

The boss gave us a complimentary dessert that will be launched in the menu from 6/12/2015. Perfect baked croissant with 2 scoops of chocolate and vanilla Ice-cream topped with marshmallow and dizzied with chocolate sauce. Now that I am writing about the dessert, it makes me drooling. Yummy!!!

It was a perfect high tea for us. Friendly service, relaxed
environment and delicious food. Park your car at Uptown Gallery for RM 1 per
hour instead of double parking and illegal parking. Saw police summon few times
when we went Damansara Uptown for lunch. Manage to finish 1000 words during the
visit. 2000 words more to finish up my assignment.

Wondermama @ Bangsar Village Smile Jan 02, 2016

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Noodles | Nasi Lemak

Finally I am done with my
assignments and it is time to enjoy so after submitting my assignment in the
college.I went Wondermama for celebration with my sister. Wondermama is located
at Ground Floor, Bangsar Village 1 (Next to Plan B). They serve Malaysian
cuisine with some western dishes as well but their most recommended dishes
according to Timeout KL Award Book is their Nasi Lemak and Mee Siam therefore
we ordered that for main course and ordered 3 Layer Pandan to drink. The
ambiance of the restaurant was cosy and lovely with indoor and outdoor seating
area. I prefer to be seated indoor as it was hot outside and indoor is a
non-smoking area. It was crowded when we arrived around 2pm and it was even
filling up after until 3pm.

3 Layer Pandan was amazing. It was refreshing and not too sweet. Most important thing is it goes perfectly well with the foods.

3 Layer Pandan @ RM 9.50

When it was served infront of us the smell itself is so addictive and drooling. Nasi Lemak Rendang Ayam is served with Chicken (Drumstick is my favourite part of the chicken),Petai Sambal, Hard Boiled Egg, Peanuts and Anchovies. Yummy until I have a confusion of should I eat with Rendang or Petai Sambal as both tasted super good. A Plate of Confusion for me!!

Nasi Lemak Rendang Ayam @ RM 21.90

Ibu’s Mee Siam was mouth-watering. The sauce was served separately that I loved as it wont be soggy and you only have to pour them in your bowl after taking the photos. Noodle is served with cucumber and a few big chunks of fried chicken. The fried chicken was tender and juicy. A bowl of heaven for me!!

Ibu’s Mee Siam @ RM 17.90

It was a super good celebration for us. Damn good service that I really admire. Delicious food and lovely environment,I really would love to drop by again.

When I was searching for a good food at Desa Sri Hartamas, I came across this particular cafe that has a very good review. After my dessert at Honey Crème, I went to Mei By Fat Spoon for lunch. The cafe is located at the corner lot of the building and they don’t have a big signboard to guide to the cafe therefore have a close look at the glass door as they stick their menu on the walls and that’s how I find this cafe during my visit. They serve appetizers, pasta, rice dishes, side dishes and beverages. The ambiance of the cafe was cozy and I enjoy having my foods under the sunshine instead of facing the walls. A couple of people occupied the cafe when we arrived but it started filling up around 12.30pm for lunch. I ordered Ox Tongue Rice (Mirin Sauce), Small Lemongrass Chicken Pop and Peach White Tea Pot after struggling on what to choose from the menu.

Peach White Tea Pot was food and good to have with their foods.

Peach White Tea Pot @ RM 8.49

Ox Tongue Rice (Mirin Sauce) tasted as good as it looks. They have 2 types of sauce to for this dish, Soy Sauce and Mirin Sauce. I asked the staff for recommendation and his recommendation was Mirin Sauce so I just choose that. It was flavoursome and every spoon has a generous amount of meat in it. I really enjoyed it.

Ox Tongue Rice (Mirin Sauce) @ RM 21.70

Fried Chicken is served with mayonnaise and lemon. Squeeze the lemon over the chicken and eat them together with the rice. It was simply delicious. My sister loved the salad and to my surprise she even finished her whole plate of salad “I almost wanted to faint the moment I saw it”

Small Lemongrass Chicken Pop @ RM 16.98

For me, Miso Soup is like a mix of Miso Soup and ABC that goes perfectly well instead of normal seaweed Miso Soup. They have done some weird combination that actually works. Very comforting soup. Each dish is served with a bowl of soup.

It was a perfect lunch for us. Delicious food and friendly service but be prepared to spend RM 20-RM 30 per person during your visit but the food deserves it for me. Wonderful Japanese meal after such a long time.
