We always see Japanese Restaurant that serves wide varieties of choices for their customers from Fresh Sashimi to well-cooked Japanese Foods and you will be confused what to order? Don't worry guys; you won't face that problem in Tori Doki as they only serve chicken and vegetables. Tori Doki is located at Desa Sri Hartamas next to Lobster & Steaks. The restaurant serves varieties of Chicken and Vegetables dishes to the customers and some of the dishes are new to me. The ambiance of the restaurant was comfortable. They have 3 types of seating choices for the customers (Tatami Seating, Booth and Counter Seating’s). Couple of people occupied the restaurant when we arrived but started filling up around 8.30pm. According to the owner Mr Kota Furuya, the restaurant will be full house on weekends and it is advisable to make reservation to avoid waiting.

Appetizer of the day is sesame sauce with ladies finger and vegetables. The sesame sauce gives an additional taste to the food.

Konsai Salada is carrot, pumpkin and sweet potato pan fried while broccoli was steamed before adding their homemade caser dressing and granted cheese. Yummy!!

Konsai Salada @ RM 18

Nagaimo Garlic Butter is mountain yam mixed with garlic powder, soya sauce and black pepper and pan-fried. It was cooked perfectly and delicious.

Nagaimo Garlic Butter @ RM 12

Chicken are marinated for 24 hours with salt, pepper, red wine, bamboo sauce and sesame oil before roasted for 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the chicken conditions. The chicken was tender and the meat fell apart from the bone very easily. It was served with spicy sauce, Himalaya Sea Salt and Japanese Soy sauce and the chicken tasted different when you dip them with different types of condiments. The chickens are only roasted once the customer placed their orders so it really took about 45 minutes to 1 hour to get our food. But don't worry; you can call them in advance to place your orders so that you no need to wait for the foods.

Tori Maruyaki @ RM 45

Teba Age (Fried Chicken Wing) is tasty. It was fried perfectly and tender.

Teba Age @ RM 10

Sunagimo Ahijyo is chicken gizzard and vegetables (Garlic, Ladies Finger and Cherry Tomato) are stewed with olive oil and served with grilled baguette (Monthly Promotion) but they planned to remain it on their menu. Dip the grilled baguette in the sauce and enjoy them.

Sunagimo Ahijyo @ RM 18

Grilled chicken was juicy, tender and soft. It was one of the best chicken I ever tried. The skewer is a mix of breast and thigh meat so the thigh meat will be oily while breast meat will be less oily and by mixing them it balance back the taste. Toridoki @ RM 8 (Chicken breast & Thigh)/ Negima @ RM 5 (Chicken Breast & Japanese leek)

Grilled Rice Balls with cheese fillings. Rice balls are brushed with soy sauce while grilling to create a crunchy texture outside and soft texture inside. The cheese gives an additional kick to the rice balls.

Kamanberu Cheese Yaki Onigiri @ RM 12

Dashimaki Tamago was freshly made after the customer placed their order. Hot & thin layer of egg crepe. Yummy!!

Dashimaki Tamago @ RM 14

Houjicha Purin was superb. It is a pudding with brown sugar. It will be prepared 1 day in advance so if it’s sold out you guys missed the chance to try it!! So please reserve it before you dine-in as it really worth your little efforts.

Houjicha Purin @ RM 10.

It was a perfect dinner for us. Yummy foods, friendly service and comfortable environment. Thanks to Mr Kota Furuya for the good hospitality.

Thanks to openrice for inviting me for the food testing. I really enjoyed myself and tried some of the new foods as well.

I love Thai Food especially their Tom Yum
Soup, Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Thai and Mango Sticky Rice are my soul mates. So
when OPenrice invited me to Chang Thai Restaurant @ Valenza Hotel for food
testing, I am so pleased to accept it. Valenza Hotel is located at Old Klang
Road (5-10 minutes from Midvalley Megamall Shopping Centre by car) and Chang
Thai Restaurant is located at the Ground Floor of the Valenza Hotel and it was
only opened coupled of weeks ago. The restaurant serves a wide variety of Thai
Foods and their signature foods are the foods that has a photo in the menu. The
restaurant has a cosy and relaxed environment.Mr Author was very humble and good in explaining about the foods to us.Pandan Drink has a very strong pandan flavour and refreshing during this hazy weather.

Miaeng Kum is a Betel leave filled with Roasted Peanuts, Coconut Flakes, Thai Herbs, Dried Shrimps, Chunk of Lime, Shallots, Fresh Chillies and then add Sour Plum Sauce to enhance the flavour. You also can fill each leaf with your favourite ingredients.

Khai Jiao Tofu Plah Duk Foo was a Thai omelette with Taufu and it was tasty.

Snow Fish (Plah Pao) was moist, tender and well flavoured with the sauce. They use Siakap to prepare the dish as it was fresh and has a natural sweetness.

(1) Tom Yum Soup was spicy and sour with shrimps. It is no better way to warm up then the soup. (2) Minced Chicken was spicy and flavoured. I loved them but bear in mind that if you are non-spicy lovers please request for mild flavour. (3) Thai Kangkung was stir fried with minced chicken and belacan. It tasted good with rice. (4)

Clear Tom Yum Soup is cooked with Lemongrass, Ginger and Thai Herbs and it tasted delicious with seafood’s.

My first impression when I saw the Mango Pudding was it must be very sweet but I was wrong, it has perfect level of sweet and has a nice flavour from Mango and Lychee. Yummy!!

It was a super good Thai Food for me. The foods are delicious, reasonably priced and they are very generous with the food portions. Even though it is openly opened 2 weeks ago and the Chef really nailed the Thai Foods. The chef are locals (Not Thailand) but their food qualities are far better than some Thai People. They do have function room to accommodate 150-200peoples with reasonable price. Sure drop by again to try more food in future. They also have Voucher selling on Groupon and they also have 20% discount for everyone until the end of the year 2015.

Thanks Openrice for this amazing foods experience and glad to meet new bloggers.

My sister craze for dessert " GREEN TEA ICE CREAM" therefore after our dinner at Kenny Roger Roasters, 1 Utama we went to Nana Green Tea for dessert. Nana Green Tea is located between Secret Recipe and Ramen restaurant on the connecting bridge in between Old Wing and New Wing. As we were full from our dinner, my sister bought a Green Tea Cone Ice Cream. You have to order and pay at the counter. After that you can either dine in or take away (Walk around the shopping Mall with Ice Cream in the hand. Sounds cool right!! ) We decided to dine in as we were not rushing back home. They serve an ample of green tea, dessert, beverages and a few food items as well. They have 2 types of dining area for the customer to choose from small area that is located next to the cashier counter at the ground floor while more private & spacious dining area upstairs. The environment of the cafe was simple, spacious and comfortable. A couple of people occupied the cafe when we arrived around 9pm and most of them are having their dinner here. Maybe I should give them a try in my next visit.

The Ice Cream just melted in my mouth. These cones are filled with a delicious swirl of soft green tea ice cream. It was smooth and has a very rich green tea taste. I loved their cone that remains crispy even after the Ice Cream started melting. So Gooood!!

Restoran Boston Baru @ Klang  Smile Dec 01, 2015

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood | Noodles

Our dear birthday girl "Peggy" wanted to have dinner at Restaurant Boston Baru, Klang therefore after our class we straightway went to Klang from College. The journey was smooth and we reached Klang earlier than the expected time (5pm). Everyone says that the queue starts from 5.30pm so we waited in the car for 30 minutes and started to queue at 5.30pm and few people were queuing as well but the shutter was still closed and it was almost 6.30 pm and Yeah!! we were starving. So I make a brave decision and went to the Kitchen behind and enquire about their opening hour. To my surprise, their staff replied me 7pm. With no other choice, we decided wait till 7pm.we manage to grab a table and so do others. Happy!! Once seated, they will serve Chilli and garlic in every table and the staff will take your order. He will start to take order from inside the restaurant and proceed to take orders outside the restaurant and he will pass the orders to the kitchen once he is done with everyone’s orders. We ordered Mantis Prawn with Corn, Cereal Mantis Prawn, Lala, Hokkien Mee, Moonlight Char Kuay Teow and Chinses Tea (Pot)

First time I saw Chinese Tea being served in a metal pot. Antique!!

Hokkien Mee is the best I ever tried before. It has unique and amazing flavour.

Moonlight Char Kuay Teow was simply delicious. Mix the egg together while it is hot as the egg gives an additional texture to the food.

Lala was so fresh and the sauce has a good punch of heat. It goes well with Lala.

Cereal Mantis Prawn was simple yet delicious.

Mantis Prawn with Corn was something new to me. Fried Mantis Prawn is cooked with thick and creamy lip smacking sauce that is mildly sweet and crunchy.

It was a perfect birthday celebration for us. We don't mind waiting 2 hours for this delicious food as it tasted yummylicious. The total bill was RM 80 including foods, drinks and take away of 2 Hokkien Mee. The price is cheaper compare to Ipoh and it tasted far better than any seafood restaurant I tried before especially their Lala and Hokkien Mee. Thumb up!!

Tips: If possible, try to get a table inside the restaurant as they will serve inside first before serving outside customers. Remember that they open at 7PM...7PM... 7PM!!!!
