"HAPPY VALENTINE DAY EVERYONE"

This year valentine day fall on Sunday and you guys know that Valentine Day is the time where all the best restaurant and cafés are fully booked for lunch and dinner. After calling a couple of restaurants for dinner and lunch reservation, I gave up as everything was fully booked even Manmaru Robatayaki & Bar, Atria Shopping Mall. Not to give up, I decided to walk-in for lunch at Manmaru Robatayaki & Bar as this particular restaurant really attracted me with very good reviews. Manmaru Robatayaki is located at Ground Floor, Atria Shopping Gallery (Next To Nando's) Manmaru Robatayaki is a Japanese restaurant. We were welcomed by the staff at the entrance before seating us 4 pax table. Thank God!! I got a place. A couple of people occupied the restaurant when we arrived around 11am but it started filling up soon later on. The ambiance was restaurant was lovely and something different to the usual Japanese restaurant environment. I loved it. It looks classy to me. After going through the menu, I ordered Yee Sang, Volcano Roll, Hotate Chawan Mushi, Tori Katsu Curry Don, Hot Ocha and Spicy Tuna Temaki.

Green Tea @ RM 3

It was my best Yee Sang I have eaten so far. Salmon was so fresh and it just melted in our mouth. I just loved it. All the ingredients were so fresh. Fruits and Home made Plum Sauce gives an additional taste to it. Gorgeous!!

Yee Sang 2-4 @ RM 48

Chicken Katsu Curry was tasty. Fried Chicken was tender and juicy and it was fried to perfections.

Tori Katsu Curry Don @ RM 20

Volcano Roll was light, cheesy and delicious.

Volcano Roll @ RM 38

Spicy Tuna Roll was tasty. Tuna was so fresh and has a nice spicy kick in it. Spicy Tuna Roll was something new I tried and it never fails to impress me.

Spicy Tuna Temaki @ RM 9

Chawmushi was so smooth and silky, while the salmon egg gives a nice kick to it. Yummy!!

Hotate Chawan Mushi @ RM 30

It was an yummyliocus dinner. The presentation was gorgeous and I cannot resist myself from taking photos of it and I even uploaded each of it in Facebook and Instagram that was really a rare case. Usually I will choose the best photo to upload in Social Media but for this restaurant everything looks beautiful that I decided to post all of it. Everything was good from the service to the foods. I loved it. Sure, drop by again whenever I feel wanted to have a good Japanese Meal. Thumb Up Guys!! I just loved your foods.

Every month me and my sister will treat each other with dessert as a reward and this round I don't have any particular dessert in my list that I wanted to eat therefore I Google for a good dessert place in Petaling Jaya and I was attracted to the Dark Chocolate from Stranger at 47. Therefore me and my sister went there for dinner. Stranger at 47 is located nearby Kanna Curry House, Section 17. They serve both sweet and savoury crepes in the menu but deep in my mind, I was thinking Crepe as a Main Course and will I get full by just eating that? It was just a crepe and I know I was totally wrong about that. We were damn full after our dinner at Stranger at 47. We were welcomed by the staff at the entrance and she told us, its full house inside so we don’t mind seating outside. I was actually happy to hear that as we are the only customer outside and I can take as many photos as possible. Once seated we were given the menu. After going through it a couple of second, we ordered Hen's Crush and Dark Chocolate. Yeah!! You only need few minutes to go thought the entire menu as it was just 3 pages with Sweet & Savoury Crepes and Beverages. The ambiance of the cafe was welcoming with bright lighting and comfortable.

Thin layered crepe topped with sliced chicken, cucumber, Hash Brown and spread with sauce. Yummy!! Everything in this plate was great. The crepe has its own flavour and it even tasted delicious by itself. I guess the crepe has cheese in it as it tasted a bit cheesy when I eat them alone.

A Hen Crush @ RM 17

Oh Dark Chocolate. I just had fallen in love with you. Thin layer of chocolate crepe with chocolate sauce inside the crepe topped with a perfect round shaped ice-cream dizzied with chocolate sauce and sprinkled with granted white chocolate. I was marvel at how it was made. Gorgeous!! It just melted in my mouth and it is one of my favourite now. Everything in the plate was heaven. Me and my sister finished it off with a blink of an eye.

Dark Chocolate @ RM 10

It was a best and yummyliocus dinner for us. Excellent and humble service, yummyliciois food. Sure drop by again to try their Crepes. Just very difficult to get car parking at night especially during weekends but be patient to get car parking as the food deserves it.

Saravanaa Bhavan @ Petaling Jaya Smile Jan 12, 2016

Categories : Indian | Restaurant | Vegetarian

We decided to have dinner at Saravanan Bhavan on the way back home. Saravanan Bhavan is located behind AMCORP Mall, Petaling Jaya. They serve only vegetarian food but don't worry, they have a variety of choices that suits everyone's taste buds. It was full house when we arrived around 9pm therefore we have to find our own table to sit. Thank God!! Once we entered a cutomer leaved so we managed to get the table. The ambiance of the restaurant was simple and open kitchen concept (You can see the food preparation in the Kitchen). We ordered Poori, Plain Thosai, Saravana Special Meal and Masala Tea.

Masala Tea tasted good. It is my Boyfriend's favorite in Saravanan Bhavan.

Masala Tea @ RM 4

Saravana Special Meal is served with 3 types of curry (Sambar, Rasam and spicy curry), 3 Types of Vegetables, Pickles, Dried Chill, Yogurt, Chapati, Papadum, Dessert and Ice Cream. Everything was great and delicious.

Saravana Special Meal @ RM 14

Poori was tasty and less oily. It is a deep fried bread served with Potato Masala.

Poori Masala @ RM 5

Thosai was simply delicious. It was served with a bowl of Sambar, mild coconut chutney and tomato chutney.

Thosai @ RM 4.50

Just a normal Ice-Cream included in the Saravana Special Meal.

It was the perfect dinner for us. Friendly and fast service. Very easy to get car parking so after this I don’t have to travel all the way to Bangsar to eat this. Just only drawback is they don't serve limited Banana Leaf Meal at night as Saravana Special Meal is too big and heavy for dinner. I really admire that they can maintain the same quality in all their branches. Thumbs up guys!!

According to my friend, Uncle Testu Cheesecake is famous for their Cheesecake in Town. Therefore I planned to give them a try but the waiting time turns me off. When Openrice invited me for the food testing at Uncle Testu Cheesecake, IOI City Mall, I was so pleased to accept it. I called them 2 days in advance to make a reservation at 8pm and I am very happy that I reached at time but I went to IOI Mall Puchong instead of IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. Yeah!! I went to the wrong location so I called them to let them know I will be late and he is very understanding. We reached IOI City Mall, Putrajaya around 9pm. Uncle Testu Cheesecake is located Lowerground, IOI City Mall. The bakery was very busy with people taking away after their dinner. They have staff standing outside the bakery to give sample to the people and almost everyone who tried it buys the cake. Yeah! It was super delicious. They have a “Scratch & Win” competition for the customer in the bag. Once scratch there will be a cash voucher for the customer to redeem it in the next purchase and promotion is valid until end of January 2016. According to Mr.Fai most of the customer redeems it straight away after they scratch it.

Cheesestick are made from the Hat Series Cake. It’s crunchy and cooked perfectly.

They have 3 types of Hat Series Cake. Original, Chocolate and Strawberry. It tasted like an Ice-Cream cake with rich strawberry flavour. In my opinion, it is best eaten cold.

Original Cheesecake was light, fluffy and simply delicious. I finished half of the cake at a time once I opened the box and my sister has to stop me from overeating. It is simply addictive.

Chocolate Cheesecake was fantastic. So fluffy and full of chocolate flavour. It is my mum’s favourite. She loved having them while watching TV.

Good news!! They don’t limit their customer to certain number of cakes they can buy like 1utama. You can buy as many as you want. It is best to satisfy all those with a sweet tooth.

Senjyu @ Bangsar Village II Smile Aug 12, 2015

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Seafood | Business Dining

My friend had good experience of dining-in
at Senjyu before and she commented that the foods are good and fresh especially
the Sashimi therefore she recommend us to buy a voucher from Groupon to try
them. Therefore, we bought 2 vouchers valued RM 140 in total (RM 35 for RM 70
value) which is a reasonable value for me. Senjyu is located in 2nd
Floor, Bangsar Village. The staffs at the entrance welcomes us before seating
us in the table and once we entered the restaurant and I was shocked to see a
cute little origami hanging on the ceiling of the restaurant. It was so
cool. The restaurant was filling up very
quickly for dinner and they have a very limited table. The ambiance of the
restaurant was cosy but the tables are a bit small for 4 persons especially if
you are ordering too many dishes for sharing’s. Since it is a cash voucher we
can order anything from the menu therefore we ordered Hot Green Tea, Nabe Udon
Maki, Chicken Teriyaki, Mai Zen and Shi Maguro.

Green Tea @ RM 2

Shi Maguro looks amazing, sweet and fresh.

Shi Maguro @ RM 13.99

Mai Zen includes of Fresh Sashimi, Garlic Rice, Salad, Tempura, Soup and Dessert (Jelly). Sashimi was sweet and fresh. Just dip with the Wasabi and enjoy. It will sure melt in your mouth.

Mai Zen @ RM 67.99

Nabe Udon Maki includes of Salad, Miso Soup, Chawanmushi, Sushi and Udon. Nabe Udon Maki @ RM 37.99

Sushi was good. It has a crunchy texture from the fresh vegetables and the popping effect from the salmon eggs.

Chicken Teriyaki includes of Chicken Teriyaki, Rice, Chawanmushi, Miso Soup, Salad and Dessert (Ice Cream).

Chicken Teriyaki @ RM 25.99

Chicken Teriyaki was tender and well flavoured with the sauce.

Tempura was crunchy and perfectly fried. Just dip them with the sauce and enjoy it.

Salad tasted delicious with the dressing.

Garlic rice is very aromatic and tasty.

Soup was yummy with assorted mushrooms, prawn and chicken. I love it even though it was my first time trying it.

Ice cream was smooth and have very rich vanilla flavour.

Jelly was super good. It has a rich lime flavour and I love jellies.

It was a perfect dinner for us. The foods are super good especially the Sashimi is fresh which is the highlight of the dinner, friendly & quick service and gorgeous environment. We paid an additional RM 30 after offsetting our bills with the voucher and RM 25 per person for this delicious meal is really worth it. Sure, drop by again to eat their fresh Sashimi’s.

Tips: If you are redeeming the voucher, please remember to make a reservation 2 days earlier.
