Heart warming food Smile Oct 05, 2013   (Related Review)

Garden salad as always, was being clean properly and only served with fresh vegetables.
Penne Bolognese was good for those who don't feel like having meat, a rather simple dish.
poached salmon was great for those who do not prefer oily and fried food. it is always my first choice.
We also had poached potato with the very famous brown sauce Ikea uses on their signature meatballs.

Super Kitchen Chilly Pan Mee  Smile Sep 30, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

Several years ago when I was still in internship, I was blessed to have colleagues who seek high and low in order to have good food as lunch. Once, we came to this Chilly Pan Mee at Taipan and since then I have never forget the taste of it. With no blog at that time, I have no medium to share but it is different now.

Thanks to Agnes who brought me to this Chilly Pan Mee again for lunch few days ago.
We were amazed at the ability of this chinese-originated Pan Mee in capturing the stomach of others such as Indian and Japanese(no kidding, they just sat next to me), other than Chinese itself.

Homemade Fried Dumpling (Sui Kow 水饺) RM6 (Small, 4 pieces)
Crispy deep fried dumpling of wanton skin that came with minced meat, carrot and yam bean.
Not too oily as something to munch on while waiting for the famous chili pan mee.

Chili Pan Mee RM6
A generous portion of Pan Mee nicely presented with toppings of fried shallots, minced meat, deep fried anchovies, poached egg and some spring onion.

Customize the spiciness of Pan Mee according to one's preference and tolerance level.

Beat the running egg yolk, mix everything together and voila....

Egg yolk added the extra creamy texture to Pan Mee as if it just slipped down my throat. Add that with chili flakes that would escalate the spiciness in my taste bud. Not to mention crispy deep fried anchovies along with flavorful minced meat that were on their way deep down to my stomach.
It was indeed an eating pleasure with everything harmonizing inside the mouth.

Recommended Dish(es):  Chili pan mee

Spending per head: Approximately RM10

Dinner Smile Oct 05, 2013

We became regular customers now ever since I realized the 10% discount on citibank card which of course this promotion only valid on weekdays. Pay less to enjoy quality buffet. I like their sliced meat (lamb & beef) of great marble patterns and the chicken that never seem to be dry no matter how long i dip it in the soup. Our favourite soups are miso and sukiyaki. The sukiyaki soup really brings out the sweetness of the meat and went well with the raw egg sauce as how japanese would have it.

Another Afternoon Tea Smile Oct 05, 2013   (Related Review)

Another visit to this amazing place for afternoon tea.

We've ordered the Fortune for RM55 which includes:
-TWG Tea from the tea list
-A choice of warm toasted sandwich (turkey ham, vegetarian or smoked salmon)
-Choice of 2 freshly bakes scones/muffins served with jelly and whipped cream or 1 patisserie from the trolley
-A choice of 3 macarons

TWG Tea Croque Imperial
I can see that they still maintain the high quality for their salmon sandwiches with melting cheese on top and generous portion of arugula salad. Embellished with red cherry tomato.

Sakura Cake
Not much of sakura scent of flavour here, not that I can tell.
Looked pretty in photos but didn't impress in the mouth.

I agreed that TWG offers some of the best macarons in town. These didn't disappoint.

We've ordered extra scones this time and they were perfect, especially with their 1837 black tea infused fruit jam.

Restoran Muar Smile Sep 30, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood

We passed by this restaurant the night before and there was a long queue where patrons would have to stand on the roadside. It appeared that this Restoran Muar is also one of the favorites for foreign tours.
We were lucky to secure a table on the next day for lunch.

Crispy Fried Egg 炸蛋 RM5 (small)
If you're someone who fond of crispy edges of a fried egg, I assure you that you can have a whole egg of crispiness here! Instead of having the conventional soy sauce to go with this dish, Restoran Muar has added cooking caramel for its slight sweetness along with aroma of dark soy which balanced out the greasiness. It might not be a dish for those health conscious patrons judging from the amount of oil needed, but this is the best fried egg I can ever find in KL town.

Salted Egg Chicken 咸蛋鸡肉 RM16 (small)
How can any food goes wrong with salted egg?

Petai Squid & Prawn 臭豆苏东虾 RM18 (small)
Another thumbs up dish of fresh prawns, squids and petai fried in belacan sauce that goes very well with white rice. Not too spicy to numb the tongue but enough to add in the fragrance.

Recommended Dish(es):  Crispy fried egg

Spending per head: Approximately RM15(午餐)
