Going to travel in Malacca, and there is a dish where all should not miss. The Chicken rice ball, traditionally only available in Malacca, it is a chicken rice served in ball shape, which is why the food is being special. Most will agree that beside the shape, there isn't much to determine what is the specialty of the dish, after all it is just chicken rice, isn't it ? Well there is more than shape actually, a good chicken rice ball should be solid and not easy to break when pick up and dip into chicken rice sauce, bad one will break even before the rice is being dip into sauce. The stall, located in Malacca town, is one of the few places where tourist will go to try out this dish. The store is, heavily commercialize with its nice decoration, losing the town historical feeling of being old. Services is fast and furious, no non-sense here, just order and move on the next customer. It is clean here considering their main customer is tourist so high level of cleanliness is expected, food is being served within 20 minutes. The chicken that is served is good, very smooth when chew in the mouth. It is said that the chicken is being raised in village, where the chicken is free to walk as they please, which is why the meat is so nice and smooth. The sauce that come together with it, makes the whole chicken irresistible. The chicken rice ball here, is of good quality. Rich in chicken fat flavor and is solid, even when it is dip into the chicken rice sauce. Seriously a rice ball of 4 to 5 per person might not be enough.
