Craving for Pan Mee Smile Oct 12, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

Head down to Megan Salak Park to try this silky smooth pan mee for RM4 (small) and tax free. Although the stall do not have a specific name or signage, but it is well known among those who lived nearby. It offers a limited variation – soup pan mee, yee mee, and dumplings (fried and soup) which you can add-on to your bowl or order separately.
Excellent!

Excellent!

What’s so special about this pan mee? Fried onion soup and veggie with your slippery pan mee makes it taste better than those ordinary ones tongue
Yumminess!

Yumminess!

My favourite - big fat 'sou kaw'! Not sure how much the dumplings really cost but its RM5+ for 5 pieces. To me its worth every bite mad

Belly For Pork Lovers Smile Sep 11, 2012

One of Sunway Mentari's hidden gem is Belly Good, a humble pork place for every food lovers craving for a good slab of meat. The price is reasonable enough compared to other pork delis in town, and they too deliver the best parts to keep our stomach satisfied.
Cozy!

Cozy!

Mysterious not, the restaurant is actually a cozy place to hang out.

Greeted by the owner that run the place, we are recommended the trio plate in our first visit. Trio consisted of 3 parts - the ribs, belly and sausage, full of porky goodness! But once I've had it all, the 'belly' seems to stand out from the rest.
Awesome!

Awesome!

Grilled Pork Belly (RM 27.90), served with mashed potatoes and fresh coleslaw. The meat is huge and all it does is melting in my mouth at its every bite. mad

Grilled Sausage Platter (RM 29.90) with 4 types of giant sausages - pork and chicken chorizo, spicy Hungarian, and garlic oriental served with fries to go.

A Cooling Treat Smile May 28, 2013

Great!

Great!

There is always a cure to our heaty body without tasting the bitter herb drinks. I would prefer a trip to KWT for their famous Herbal Jelly. RM8 for a regular bowl and RM11 for large, sufficient for 2 pax as dessert. The jelly is cooling and tasted good with the syrup which will be provided separately. This is a good method for people who prefer the jelly with less sugar. As for me, I like it sweet. And it feels good when they say having herbal jelly is good for the skin.

Yummy Pancakes Anytime Smile May 28, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Western variety | Café | Burgers / Sandwiches

If you are looking for a quiet place for lunch, Pancake House could be one in mind. Well, it was one of my favourite place to avoid the crowd especially in a busy mall. Yes, just walk-in and there is no line at any time. Not saying their food is bad but the variation they have is a bit limited here. Alas, they are selling pancakes and that is what I call their specialty. Not bad for a fast lunch too. They serve set lunches that are simple (not tough to decide) and the aim of lunch is for their pancakes! If you are a fan, of course.
Good deal!

Good deal!

Spaghetti Club Set RM17.90 is a decent set lunch to go, comes with 3 mini pancakes and a glass of peach tea. The sandwich is fresh and chilled, just the way I liked them. The pasta is okay too, the classic spaghetti bolognese is good any time. But that only comes with beef, and no chicken variation if you are not a beef taker.

Mushroom Cappuccino Soup RM5.90 is really not my cup of soup. Don’t get me wrong, I like cappuccino. But when these two cross-overed, I rather they don’t! The soup is very watery and there is a strong taste of wild mushroom that doesn’t goes so well with my senses. There isn’t any coffee existance in the soup, only the bubbly cream resembles the cappuccino.
Heavenly!

Heavenly!

Luscious Lemon Pancake Peak RM11.90 is to die for! These stack of mini pancakes filled with cream cheese in-between, topped with lemon zest. I was afraid that the lemon syrup would taste like dish washer at first, but it was just a mild lemon taste – refreshing and yet not too strong. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, I thought I can swallow half the dozen without doubt but by the last two pieces I was filled up. Anyway, it was good and I’m in heaven. Definately will come back for more especially for the Choco Lava pancake tower after looking at the poster...yummy tongue

Good Prommes Pasta, Anytime Smile Jan 15, 2013

Belgian fries lover or not, one of the best place for a plate of pasta would be this humble corner in Asian Avenue Sunway Pyramid where Pommes Frites is located. Love at first taste it is, the eatery is also a great place to take food pictures with good natural lighting. Cozy and hidden away from the hust and buzz of the mall, Pommes Frites also offers a cozy corner with magazines and a good place for a chat while slurping on your favourite plate of pasta.
Cozy!

Superb!!!

Superb!!!

Fettuccine Salmon & Parmesan RM14.90 – One of the must try! Portion is good, with a generous slice of salmon. Sauce is excellent here – thick and smooth. Well priced as well, it tasted as good as the more famous pasta places out there (and even better).
Excelent!

Excelent!

Spaghetti Seafood Carbonara RM13.90 – Dived in the smooth and thick sauce just like the fettuccine, the clamps tasted superb with garlic butter and olive oil.
Greatness!

Greatness!

Penne Cordon Bleu RM12.90 – Crispy from the outside, and juicy inside! Ham stuffed fried chicken with cheese, topped on penne with tomato puree. Another great plate that worth every penny.

Food was served hot and efficiently. The bill came with additional 5% tax.
