Chicken wings and pool Smile Dec 31, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Western variety | Bar & Pub | BBQ

Chicken wings here are a real good comfort food to go with beer and a few dozen rounds of pool. The skin is crispy-charred and sweet, and the meat is super juicy and fall-off-the-bone tender. I can easily wallop a couple dozen of these in a night if I don't watch myself.

Super kao iced coffee Smile Dec 31, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam

Many places would skim on their iced coffee but not here in this Sing Hup Soon, an ordinary kopitiam in Selayang. The texture was smooth and milky while the amount of ice wasn't too much to dilute the taste over time. The price was quite fair, i.e. less than RM2.

Pan Mee treat OK Dec 31, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Noodles

It was my first time having pan mee in Selayang area. My girlfriend suggested this for a quick pan mee fix, hence I decided to check it out. I had the dry pinched version, doused with mixture of dark sauce. The noodle texture was alright, but not as good as Subang's famous pan mee. Flavor wise, it was alright.

Simple siew mai Cry Dec 31, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Dim sum

Siew mai here is very simple. Very, very unexciting and unmemorable to say the least. It springy and bouncy, but tastes very little like shrimp or pork, but just a lot of flour. Price is quite cheap at least, but it requires a lot of Kampung Koh chilli sauce to salvage.

Too many nasi lemaks OK Dec 31, 2013
Categories : Malay | Stall / Warung | Nasi Lemak

Nasi lemak nasi lemak nasi lemak nasi lemak, who doesn't love nasi lemak. Another nasi lemak to try, why not? The rice was not that bad. So was the sambal, albeit it was a little too salty and less sweet. The kacang and bilis were not too little either, which was good.
