I don't get why there's such a long queue at this asam laksa truck. Environment is hot and crowded, and it is very difficult to get a table, especially when you're eating alone. The soup is sour but not thick, there's not much vege, and the serving size is very small.
Glass noodle always has this unique texture and look which I fond of. Although it does not retain or trap flavor as good as other types of noodles, it did taste pretty good with tomyam. I guess that is why they tend to put more seasoning to help counter the downside. It was loaded with quite a number of prawns also.
Siew yoke here is relatively inexpensive and relatively decent. The skin is crispy and salty. The layer of fat is not fully melty, but at least not too chewy or rubbery. The meat is taste and soft. The combined tastes remind me why I love pork so much
If you ask me, RM2 for a sunny side up or RM8 for an omelette, I would surely go for an omelette. Look at how huge the omellete was! The only thing I would complain is it was too salty to my liking, could be a Chinese dai chau thing. Best go with some bland dishes.
Another day, another mixed rice place where I confuse the taukeh by asking for no rice. Braised pork is soft and the fat is melty. It usually finishes quite early. Braised tofu is a bit firm, from the same tray as the braised pork. Omelette is thick and sweet with onions but oily.
