Fish head noodles Smile Dec 31, 2013

Fish head noodles here are pretty good. The broth is sweet and slightly sour and milky. The fish is tender and fresh, but quite bony. It is full of tomatoes and preserved vegetables. Meat is plentiful and enough to go with the noodles. Overall it's quite satisfying.

Vegetarian mixed food Smile Dec 31, 2013

Fake char siew is bouncy but doesn't taste like char siew at all. More like fu zhuk, but with sweet sauce and the appearance of meat. Bitter gourds are soft and slightly sweetened through cooking. Brinjals are soft and sweet, and salty. Overall pretty good.

Tongue-burner Smile Dec 31, 2013

You've never known what spicy is until you have Indonesian sambal. The sambal is super spicy, but tastes sweet and thick. The ribs are flaky but a little dry, so it's easy to peel the layers, but not when you chew, it tends to get stuck in the teeth.

Burger special Smile Dec 31, 2013

I've never really understood why they called it "burger (ayam/daging) special" when the "special" bit it just that it's wrapped with an omelette. Anyway, the egg was fluffy and not overcooked, the beef patty was juicy and seasoned well. Too much sauce though.

Honey sausage Smile Dec 31, 2013

Honey sausage here is good. Sweet, but oily, but also very juice and oozing with pork fat. Not the healthiest thing you can eat, but at least it's pretty much almost carbless and very satisfying.

Garlic sausage is also very garlicky and fragrant.
