Big burger OK Dec 31, 2013

So the burger is quite big, but that's only because I ordered a triple decker, but flavour-wise, it's very ordinary, can't hold up against the competition. Patties are tender but not juicy, not particularly soft, and lacking any sweet flavours of the meat.

Rice cakes Cry Dec 31, 2013

Seeing anime characters eating rice cakes on TV, it seemed so nice. But actual rice cakes really taste boring. It's bland, chewy, and just a big ball of flavourless starch. Then they took this and put it with similarly bland noodles, and served with tomato sauce. It's like eating plain white rice with ketchup.

Classic malay food Smile Dec 31, 2013

Nasi putih with pucuk paku masak lemak, and ayam masak merah.

The pucuk paku masak lemak was crunchy and coconutty, and the ayam masak merah filled in the gap with sweetness.

Sirap bandung was huge and milky, and not overly sweet. Very refreshing.

Smoked salmon salad OK Dec 31, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Seafood | Ramen/Udon/Soba

The smoked salmon here is decent - salty, relatively fresh, and you can taste the slight smokiness. Unfortunately, the salad is terribly boring - just cucumbers, iceberg lettuce, and tomato wedges. That's mostly flavourless. Adulterated further with thousand-islands sauce.

Spaghetti OK Dec 31, 2013
Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Steaks / Chops

Mushroom soup was made with real mushrooms instead of coming out of a can, so that's good. Quite creamy too, because they added cream into it.

Spaghetti was quite plain, with a bit of tomato sauce, but the sauce for tart and thick. Pretty decent overall.
