Simple siew mai Cry Dec 31, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Dim sum

Siew mai here is very simple. Very, very unexciting and unmemorable to say the least. It springy and bouncy, but tastes very little like shrimp or pork, but just a lot of flour. Price is quite cheap at least, but it requires a lot of Kampung Koh chilli sauce to salvage.

Lei cha Cry Dec 31, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles | Vegetarian | Nasi Lemak

Lei cha is really an acquired taste. While this is a very famous and popular Hakka dish, it really looks like rabbit food. This one was not so good. Too much of greens, making it swing towards the bitter side, and white rice is just not the right texture. Not enough nuts to balance out the flavour.

Awful breakfast ever Cry Dec 31, 2013

Look at the presentation, you wouldn't be impressed. The selection of ham and sausages were terrible. So was the beans. Egg were served too dry due to overcooked and bread was the cheap one. I was super disappointed with this despite the price tag.

Lei Cha + Pan Mee Cry Dec 31, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles | Yong Tau Fu

It must be a creative invention, or so I thought. Being a fan of pan mee, this was not really my cup of tea. I like my pan mee to be pan mee, with ikan bilis etc. That aside, the texture of pan mee was smooth. Lei cha soup was boring, maybe just because it was pan mee.

Turkey or chicken? Cry Dec 31, 2013   (Related Review)

Well, I can't really know if it is chicken. If you told me it is chicken, I would believe you. So now, this turkey was quite tender but taste wise, it is chicken to me. The gravy was diluted to the max, the cranberry sauce was cranberry jam. I was utterly disappointed with the quality. The most enjoyable thing was the potatoes with rosemary.
