Another novelty dish from ipoh is their beansprouts. Beansprouts is never my favorite vegetable, but in Ipoh, it instantly become my popular vegetable. How amazing is that? The fat and juicy beansprouts is blanched and drizzled with some soy sauce and sesame oil. Lastly a pinch of pepper and some spring onions and cut chilli are added. The juicy beansprouts was actually quite addicitve to eat

Well, it is also a must to order the ipoh hor fun, because we know that ipoh hor fun is better than KL's hor fun. I really enjoyed my bowl of hor fun to the maximum. I love it so much i finished everything in the bowl. The hor fun is really silky smooth, i wonder why we don't get this type of hor fun in KL. The soup was slightly oily but it is ok, the soup tasted sweet and delicious.

Steamed Chicken Smile May 23, 2013

When it comes to places of interests, finding the best among the rest are a challenge for me. Unless i have done my research, otherwise, it is pure luck. I think my luck was running high on that day. It seems that i'm satisfied with the food in Onn Kee. Love their steamed chicken. It was absolutely delicious, delicate, smooth, tender and juicy. Love the "chicken taste", not the usual commercial chicken we ate that are usually tasteless.

Dim Sum Smile Apr 29, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim sum

Dim Sum breakfast is a big affair in this part of the town. Local and people from other towns all came to this place for morning dim sum. This restaurant is relatively old but maintained its food quality. Variety of steamed dim sum can be choosed. For example: siew mai, har kao, yu mai, scallop dumpling, etc. You can also expect porridges, chee cheong fun, sweet dessert, and fried dim sum all under one roof. The price is affordable and the portion size justifiable.
