One fine Sunday, my friend suggested a place for breakfast. But we woke up a bit late, so i think it's consider brunch. I stay at Subang and i rarely go to KL town. The place she suggestes is in KL town it self. Its located in Jalan Mesui, just right behind Istana Hotel.

This is the name card of the place, i took think photo to try out my new phone's camera functionlol
Its like those very beachy, comfy, very laid back style of cafe. Very suitable for a late Sunday brunch.

This is the outdoor seating, old table and benches with colourful pillows with a touch of fake grass to make it a garden feeling. all i can say its creativity that makes me love this place so much. They even decorate the grass walls with little toy soilders where we used to play when we are young. Reminds me of the good old days. =)
There are a lot of paintings painted on the walls plus posters in frames. I can say the place is unique by its own, by the looks of it, it seems like the owner bought pieces of decoration one at a time, and add in random stuff to the shop.

We ordered a salad, Its shrimp and avocado salad.(RM18) See the red powder on top, that chilli powder to give it a bit of kick in it! The shrimps are fresh combine with the avocado paste, its simply irresistible.

I ordered Mushroom Cappuccino.(RM10) Its basically a smaller portion of mushroom soup serve in a coffee cup with foam on top. Its nice and creamy but i abit too salty for me.

My friend ordered Chilli Shrimps Aglio Olio.(RM24) Spicy and with a twist of lemon juice. You even can feel the aroma of the olive oil. Nice! Its too spicy for her, but just nice for me.

Next is this Chinese Char Mee like spaghetti. It totally looks like a chinese style fried noodle. hahaha. My other friend ordered this Grilled Chicken Aglio Olio. (RM26) There is carrots baby Bak choi and chicken and it really taste Chinese. Want something different with your pasta, this is the one you should try.

This is recommended by my friend. Steak and cheese sandwich, (RM18) and my god the portion is so big. I can't finish it all. Nice and juicy steak with the cheese ozzing out. The only thing i don't like, its the mayonnaise. There is way too much mayonnaise, its like eating fat with your steak. Once i scoop out the mayo, then its Nice!

I have reach the maximum numbers of pictures that i can upload. The picture above is actually the designs inside the restaurant. It has a lot of hand painted walls and other very unique decorations around. The furniture they use are also very special, some are the exact shap of a bum, some covered with grass, Its like a place full of at pieces. When i walked around the cafe, i realize one of the posters said they allow customers to bring their pets any shapes and sizes. mad
and there are also a stack of board games in a corner for customers to enjoy. it is truely a very interesting place to dine in. i would surely visit again!

The Yogitree @ The Gardens Smile Aug 03, 2012

I am a fan of desserts, pastries and cream, tea time would be my most favorite meal of the day. But nowadays, people don't only eat cakes and have tea during tea time. People can eat it anytime of the day. Even restaurants are selling their tea time set for the whole day. The other day i saw a deal in Dealmates for a Tea set for 2 at The Yogitree, The Gardens. I've always pass by this Cafe and wanted to try out the food there. This is now my chance to try the food out.

The deal comes with :

1 Pesto Chicken Bruschetta (3 pieces)

1 Grilled Vegetables Caramelized Onion Bruschetta (3 pieces)

2 Raisin Scones

2 Macarons in random flavours

A Slice of Cake of your choice

2 Cups of Tea of your choice

All of the above for only RM28 instead of RM58.30 . Looks very convincing to me=)

I made the reservation at 7pm as i wanted to have it as my dinner before i go for movies. When i reach there was only 3 table occupied, maybe because its a weekday. But i like the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The best part it's they promote healthy eating. It can be a salad, a mud cake or sausages, using the right ingredients can make good food too. They always emphasize on back to the basic, using fresh and organic ingredients to cook the meals.

First comes the Raisins Scones with butter and strawberry jam, one peanut butter macaroon and another is blueberry macaroon. The scones and nice with the butter and jam. But the scones are just so so as i've tried much better ones in Empire Shopping Gallery.

Next came the Tea for 2. I've ordered Earl Grey tea come with fresh milk and brown sugar.

Next came the Pesto Chicken Bruschetta and Grilled Vegetables Caramelized Onion Bruschetta. My friend Becks likes the chicken ones cause she hated the alfalfa sprouts on the vege Bruschettas. lol. I forgot to take the picture of the cake, as we were just too hungry, we gobble it up so fast.

Becks ordered Aglio Olio Seafood Spaghetti ( RM28). A very big portion of spaghetti with load of prawns, squids and clams. The aroma of the olive oil and chili flakes make it spicy and so flavorful.

I ordered 73°C Poached Salmon (RM28). The poached salmon is cooked just right, still a bit raw right in the middle. Together with dill, lemon zest together with the pesto sour cream, it is simply marvelous. The one thing is, i felt the portion is a bit small.

Overall i felt it was a nice experience, nice food and cozy environment.
