Dessert fever @ Mochi Sweets Smile Aug 15, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Desserts

I was walking around Toyko Street Pavillion when my friends n me stumble across the stall Mochi Sweets. To tell you the truth, I am a fan of desserts and I've never really tried nice mochi. Before this, I've never had a decent mochi, only tried those while dining in Jogoya buffet, and it taste terrible. (ever since, i have this misconception that mochi taste terrible) mad

One of my friend tried once in Hong Kong and it's freshly made, she told me it's the nicest dessert she even has. ( She is totally not a sweet tooth)

When i saw this stall in Pavillion, i was shock to see how nice it looked and so tempting! There are all kind of flavours, colours and fillings. I felt i wanted to try all of them. (it looks totally different from the one i used to eat, and looked the same with the picture i saw the mochi from Hong Kong. )

See there is so many people in the small stall. And that are both of my lovely friends, Angie and Chloe.

So many choices to choose from and its really very tempting! Since there is 3 of us, we decided to get a box of 6lol

The packaging is so nice, as the name is Japanese Luxury Sweets, The packaging is looks high class too. It comes in a black box with a simple yet elegant paper bag.

This box of 6 comes with 6 flavors that are Blueberry Cream, Green tea, Chestnut Cream, Cream Chocolate, Mango Yogurt and Red Bean.
There is a semi transparent paper that has the names of the flavor on the mochi.

Blueberry Cream: has a sweet taste but i felt its a bit like eating jam with a combination of cream covered with chewy outer skin. ( Just okay)

Green tea: Was the most authentic one i should say. A very strong green flavor with cream, it blends very well. all together. To my surprise, its so very sweet either.

Chestnut Cream: I actually don't really fancy this flavor. It has a strong chestnut flavor, the cream all add together make the flavor too think and creamy.

Cream Chocolate: I love this the most. I am a chocolate lover, in the outer layer of the mochi skin there is chocolate powder inside there is chocolate cream, its a bit bitter from the powder and sweet from the cream. Fantastic!

Mango Yogurt: It is quite interesting flavor mango and yogurt, sounds like an ice cream flavor, its more to the sour side. Those who like mango flavor desserts would love this.

Red Bean: Red bean is also quite authentic Japanese dessert flavor. Soft sweet red bean filling inside with chewy mochi.

all mochi skins taste the same to me, just in different color. The texture and chewiness is also the same.

When you buy the mochi it is still frozen so you have to leave it to unfrozen around 20-30 mins before enjoying. It is best to eat it on the day you bought it. The 3 of us gobble the whole box at one go ! really yummy=) One good thing, it is not expensive at all. ranges between rm3.50-rm4 each.

Chocolate fever @ Kopi Time Cafe Smile Aug 14, 2012

Categories : Malaysian variety | Café | Noodles | Nasi Lemak

I was at Kopi Time Cafe while accompanying my friend studying for her finals. I was playing with my iphone games and i felt quite bored. I flip through the menu and i saw this tempting picture of a chocolate brownie with ice cream.
So i decided i should order one and try!

Kopi Time cafe is a quite cafe located at the ground floor of 1st Subang. Its at the corner lot and i've been here twice and its quite quiet at night. The atmosphere is simple and nice. With simple white and brown furniture. Its a nice and peaceful place. Great for study to chil and hang out and study=) what's more there is free wifi toolol

So here comes my chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream on top and some chocolate sauce dripping down. By just looking at this picture, my mouth is watering already. The brownie is soft and warm. It has a strong chocolaty taste and it is packed with chocolate goodness. When you eat with the ice creams it blends is warm and cold feeling together in your mouth, its fantastic! Vanilla goes very well with chocolate and it blends it to make the chocolate not too think and not too sweet. All together its heaven!tongue

Mantra indian food deals @ webuy Smile Aug 13, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Indian | Restaurant | Noodles

Recently it has been a trend for online shopping and now there are a lot of websites such as groupon , webuy, mydeals and more that sells piratically almost everything. It ranges from, food, services, travel, products and more. This is actually a good chance where you can buy vouchers from the things that you wana try out at a very cheap price. I've been buying a few food vouchers and this time i bought this voucher from Mantra Sunway Pyramid.

I've tried this restaurant once when my bosses came from overseas. Lucky me, it was a treat by my boss as the food here is quite pricy. When i saw the deal in We buy I immediately bought it. It was a set for 2.

This picture above does not own or taken by me. I took it from the deal page.
This deal is a 5-Course Authentic Northern Indian Meals for 2 pax worth RM95.60 for ONLY RM48
The 5 course dinner includes:

Lamb dish
Chicken dish
Vegetable dish
Tandoori Chicken
Plain Biryani Rice

While waiting for the food to be serve, i've taken some pictures of the current promotion in Mantra. On that day, i forgot to bring the printed voucher for verification. I inform the server if i could dine in without giving the printed voucher. The server was so nice and he told me not to worry and show us to our seats.

He told me that we are the 1st one to redeem this voucher and he is not very sure which set that we are taking. Later on he checked with the manager and came back to explain what are the dishes that we will be enjoying today. He is just so kind and patient with us.

That's a picture of me looking through the menu. Actually they do serve other than Indian food. They do serve local food.
This restaurant has a very contemporary design, with sofas and a very magnificent view of Sunway Lagoon theme park. You surely can relax and enjoy your meal to the max.

Food is serve! There are 2 pieces of chicken. I feel its actually 1 piece, they just cut it in to 2 smaller pieces. Perfectly roasted with the spices and herbs. When it's serve it's still hot and tender in the inside.

The lamb dish is Lamb Rogan Joshvery. It has a very think aroma of the spices together with cardamom-tinged juice and top up with a bit of saffron. For the tongue, the marvelous gravy made to a perfect balance of sugar and spice. The meat is very tender and the curry is just simply delicious.

Next is the butter chicken. You might find it weird, how can a curry dish name butter chicken right? When you have the 1st bite, you really can feel the aroma of the butter that melts in your mouth. It is superb when eaten with nan or white rice. Not to say, they serve only chicken meat and no bones at all.

Next is the vegetable dish that is the ladies fingers. Normally i dun fancy ladies fingers, due to the only ones I've eaten are the ones in curry fish. But this is a dry curry dish that blend so nicely the Indian herbs together with the ladies fingers. The ladies fingers are soft and yet you can feel the spiciness all together.

The server later on came and told us the Biryani will be serve a little late as they are still preparing. He gave us complimentary nan while waiting for the Briyani to be serve. The nan is serve hot and it is definably yummy to dip it into the curries.

After 15 mins the Briyani Rice is serve. By that time we are actually quite full. we only manage to finish a quarter of the rice. To our surprise, all the curry dishes are very big in portions. This set could easily be serve for 3 persons. I could say, i really like the service, the server came and apologies because they serve the rice rather late, and they also asked us if we like our food or do we need anything more.

I really love the food, the portion and the service. They really make you feel like you are their VVIP. And they treat all their customers like this! greeting starts from the moment you step in till the moment you step out.

Cream with green Tea Smile Aug 07, 2012   (Related Review)

Categories : Taiwanese | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

Lately there is a lot of new bubble milk tea & dessert shops claiming that they are original from Taiwan everywhere. From the famous Chatime, Gong cha and my all time Fav Snowflake. Now there are more and more in SS15. Oh ya, you must be thinking why SS15, yes cause i work there....LOL

Lately i've found out new bubble milk tea that are Par Tea time, La Kaffa, CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice, others, I cant't really remember the name....=/ If you have craving for bubble milk tea in this area, you surely can grab one easily =)

So, i'm kinda a bubble milk tea fan, normally i would just go for the original bubble milk tea with pearl, but this time, since my colleague, Beh is offering to belanja me, so okay! we went to Coco!

Cream with green tea.

See the layer of cream on top? Sinful yet very tempting;) One thing special about this Crean with tea series, the way you drink it is different. So i ask Beh to demonstrate on how to enjoy this Creamy drink.

As you can see in the picture, there is a small plastic knife beside the straw.

1st you will have to use the small knife to cut one small hole on the top....

And drink it from the cup for the 1st time=) Woahhhhh.... all i can say is, you can taste the soft and foamy cream, one the 1st sip is a bit salty and after you can taste a bit of sweetness of the tea....and not to forget the sweet aroma of vanilla. Its so nice, i can't stop thinking about it now...hahaha

Next, only you poke in your straw, and take a good sip of the tea.....
Its a total new level of drinking tea....hahhaha. I know other bubble milk tea stall do have cream with tea series, but i am not sure they will serve it with the small knife or not. In CoCo, they even teach you the right way to drink it....Tumbs up for CoCo!

At last, you can stir it all the way or just drink it with the cream on top, base on own preference......Anyway, its quite hard to stir, as the creamy and think cream keeps floating on top...lol

I would rate this drink 10/10, as i love the cream and the tea, blending, with the taste of cream, vanilla, and green tea. I love their service too=)

This is another post about my birthday! haha, Im a Leo and i just passed my birthday 2 weeks ago. In this post, i will be writing my experience dining in Alexis that was a treat by my babe Angie!

I've been to Alexis a few times now, mostly here for the cakes. This time is for lunch.

I ordered watermelon juice, freshly squeeze, very cold and refreshing! Sweet even without adding any sugarlol

I ordered the smoked salmon sandwich. It is accompanied with golden brown wedges fried till perfection. Crispy on the outside, soft and hot in the inside and a side salad that is with a sour tangy sauce! The bread is wheat bread lightly toasted plus the salty smoked salmon eaten with wild rocket and capers. There is a crunchy, fresh, sourish taste that actually goes really well with each other.

Happy Me on that day!
