Poco Homemade is a very famous hidden gem in Bangsar... located next to the housing area, has a very outstanding exterior design, healthy home cooked food and yummy homemade dessert~
owner is a young couple who has passion on their cafe~ did every design themselves and serve the customers with love...
Poco Homemade has cozy ambiance with all the wooden tables and chairs... lady boss is a handmade stuff expert, all her production is selling in her little cafe too...
i can still remember my first visit was a few years back~ introduced by a girlfriend of mine, we went for dessert... their menu back then was just a piece of paper stuck on wooden board... many years later, they got their unique dessert menu available for their customers...
dessert menu

dessert menu

the photos of all the desserts are nicely printed in the menu~
it made me wanted to have all... tongue
Soya Green Tea

Soya Green Tea

this healthy drink is my favourite~
with the fragrance of green tea and soya... never know they can be so match... shocked
Fried Eggplant with minced meat rice

Fried Eggplant with minced meat rice

Poco Homemade only serve 4 types of main meal... bowl
one of them is this fried eggplant with minced meat, served with brown rice, pickles, jelly and green tea~
whole set only selling at RM 11.00... super deal right? lol
fried eggplant was so tasty, the eggplant was cooked to perfection, not too oily~
but the portion was just nice for lady... my boyfriend said it was not filling at all... mad
Tofu Chicken rice

Tofu Chicken rice

tofu chicken rice also available in set~
the tofu and the chicken both absorbed the flavour completely...
tasted like mama's cooking back home... lol
Matcha Pudding with Red Bean

Matcha Pudding with Red Bean

this is my all time favourite~
a MUST have dessert for me...
matcha will have the taste of bitterness, but with the milk and red beans served together...
it covered the bitterness with sweetness... hmm~ taste of happiness... smile
White Chocolate Semifreddo

White Chocolate Semifreddo

i ordered this semifreddo simply because it looks so pretty...
in the shape of rose~ it gave me the romantic hit...
named as white chocolate semifreddo, i was prepared with the over sweetness...
surprisingly, it wasn't... tasted just like ice cream~ melted in my mouth...
the vinegar added the refreshing sour taste in my mouth... so flavourful...
worth trying... smile

Poco Homemade will always have new desserts serving on different time frame... follow their FB to get more updated information if you are keen to try every single dessert of them...
will definitely fall in love with this hidden cafe after the first visit... believe it or not? believe it! lol

so much of delay on this post...
Dave's Bistro Bar & Grill is always one of the restaurant that i wanted to dine with...
when i saw the deal in Groupon, i bought the voucher without a second thought~
RM 58 nett for a full slab of baby back pork ribs + soup or salad for two...
definitely worth of price...
it was on the White Day~
i didn't plan to go anywhere since celebrating the White Day is not a norm for us...
so happened it was a night which left only both of us for dinner...
so, i called and surprisingly they allowed us to use our voucher~
then, i have my first White Day dinner with my love one... ^^
since it was a dinner for two...
we are allowed to choose two appetizers from either mushroom soup or caesar salad...
and we had both~
Mushroom Soup

Mushroom Soup

the soup was nice... creamy and thick~
very generous on the minced mushrooms too...
Caesar Salad

Caesar Salad

i would say their Caesar Salad was really good!
one of the best in town... (only my personal opinion)
with the crispy pork bacon on top, mixed of fresh crunchy vegetables, eggs and cheese...
yum yum! i love it! lol
Full Slab of BBQ Baby Back Pork Ribs

Full Slab of BBQ Baby Back Pork Ribs

i never know pork ribs could be so tender and juicy...
it melted in my mouth...
it was superb... even my love one who normally do not comment on food said it was great! shocked

the voucher do not include any drinks...
so, we had our usual order for the night...
Cafe Latte RM 8.00

Cafe Latte RM 8.00

it was normal...
nothing special to mention... ha!
Cafe Mocha RM 9.00

Cafe Mocha RM 9.00

it was also normal...
not fantastic yet not bad...
the only thing is i don't like the glasses they used to serve the hot drinks...
it was too difficult to hold...

overall, it was a great dining experience~
with good ambiance, good service and affordable price
even their normal prices from the ala carte menu are affordable, just not everyday...
will definitely go back again for the salad and the ribs...
p/s: they have their bar at the back and dining hall in front~ i personally think that it's a great design as the people who only wanted to dine will not be affected by the cigarette smoke or smell... smile

people who stay in the busy city like me will definitely have the morning coffee habit... no matter it's a working day or holiday~ a good coffee in the morning can easily make my day... smile
espressolab is a kiosk located at the walkway from The Gardens to Mid Valley or vice versa... i can smell the coffee fragrance even i have not seen the kiosk...
the EspressoLab

it was a brilliant idea to have a coffee kiosk at the walkway...
the fragrance of coffee will definitely drive the crowd~
with the yummy-licious cake display...

they served good Mocha that's what i will say... lol
Latte

Latte

i ordered a Mocha too...
but i believe the barista has made the wrong drink for me...
it was a Latte... even the colour was so much different with the Mocha...
glad that it tasted good and smooth...
with nice coffee art too...
that is why i didn't reject the drink and ask for a replacement~ tongue
Mango Crepe Cake RM 11.90

Mango Crepe Cake RM 11.90

fancy mille crepe? yea~ you can get it at espressolab too...
this Mango crepe was a new arrival~
rich mango taste, sourly with bit of sweet... i love it!

Lemon Cheese Cake RM 9.90

this was so good!
one of the best cheesecakes in town...
sourly sweet with the taste of nuts...
so flavourful... i'm loving it! lol

what a nice place to have a cup of nice coffee together with a slice of tasty cake...
overlooking the road which seperated The Gardens and Mid Valley...

Categories : Western variety | Sweets/Snack | Bakery / Cake / Kuih

Mille Crepe is a dessert that suddenly became very popular lately... people are just so into it... places where selling mille crepe sure can get the crowd no matter where it's located at... Winter Lover Bakery House is one of the examples... when i first saw their signboard, searched through the internet, it was only 2 reviews... 2 months later, it became another hot spot in town~ shocked
they have cosy and simple interior, can easily hang around with couple of good friends for the whole afternoon... it will be perfect if they can have some sofa seats... mad too demanding... tongue
Crepe display fridge and Winter Lover wallpaper~

Crepe display fridge and Winter Lover wallpaper~

looking at the display fridge, we wanted to have everything... everything seem so attractive~ but we went after lunch, how to fit everything in our tummy? keep others for the next visit~ smile
Iced Peach Fruit Tea RM 6.90

Iced Peach Fruit Tea RM 6.90

the best looking iced drink of the day~
almost every table have at least one Iced Peach Fruit Tea...
very refreshing and not too sweet...
best for a hot sunny afternoon or evening...
behind the Iced Peach Fruit Tea, on the left in the picture is Fresh Honey Lemon selling at RM 4.90...
baby sis said they forgot to put honey in it~
too sour and no honey...
next to the Fresh Honey Lemon is Iced Lemon Tea selling at RM 4.90...
they gave it a special name but i can't remember it~
again, they forgot the lemon...
it was Iced Tea, no lemon in it... huffy
3 in 1 Mille Crepe RM 9.90

3 in 1 Mille Crepe RM 9.90

this 3 in 1 Mille Crepe was a combination of Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry...
if you are a fan of Nestle's Neapolitan flavour ice cream...
you will love this Mille Crepe very much~
really tasted like having the ice cream... lol
Grand Marnier Orange & Chocolate Mille Crepe RM 9.90

Grand Marnier Orange & Chocolate Mille Crepe RM 9.90

this was recommended by the worker...
using the first class orange flavoured liquor, Grand Marnier...
it was good~!! the mixture of orange and chocolate is always good...
Hokkaido Milk Mille Crepe RM 9.90

Hokkaido Milk Mille Crepe RM 9.90

this was another recommendation for us...
it was really milky and both my baby sis and the boyfie don't like it~
to me, it was just nice...
somehow, we all know Hokkaido Milk is meant to be milky... tongue

Winter Lover have more than 15 flavours of Mille Crepe... most of it are their very own creations...
i met a lady who go everyday just to try every type of the crepe... shocked
but, i personally think that there are rooms of improvement for their service...
maybe the waiter and waitress should smile a little more~ lol

i'm never a Malay food supporter until i started my working life~ now even keen to find out how's Malay cuisine fine dining like... Enak KL in Starhill Gallery is really serving 'enak' food...
the signboard on top of the entrance

the signboard on top of the entrance

it was not easy for us to reach Enak KL...
it was our second visit to Starhill Gallery and the first time was a few years back...
we parked our car at their basement parking field...
and we went to Feast Floor according to the address from the car park lift...
but, it didn't lead us to the right place...
it was another level of parking field...
later on only we found out, we got to go into Starhill Gallery's lobby before we can get to any restaurants~
i didn't get to take good picture of the interior of Enak KL due to the deemed lights...
but the ambiance was really good... they have very nice interior decorations as well~
it was packed with lunch crowd... and we got seated at a private corner... =)
they were having the promotion: 4 dishes with plain rice and free flow Ice Lemon Tea for 2 at RM 59.90...
as soon as we were seated, the waiter brought us the menu and served the free flow Ice Lemon Tea which included in the set lunch...
let's see what we got for our brunch that day~
Ayam Kari Utara

Ayam Kari Utara

a richly flavoured chicken dish simmered in coconut cream with accent of ground cumin and coriander by star aniseed, cardamom, and fresh curry leaves...
it was my first time having Ayam Kari Utara...
never even know about it before that~
very flavourful and chicken cooked to perfection~
very tender and goes very well with rice...
Daging Semur

Daging Semur

tenderloin slice sauteed with candlenut and ground spice lightly flavoured with a sweet soya sauce...
it was also a new dish to me...
tenderloin was juicy with fragrance of the spices and sweet soya sauce...
another good dish!
Kari Ikan Bendi

Kari Ikan Bendi

sea mackerel fillets cooked in a richly flavoured curry sauce with fresh lady's fingers, tomatoes a melange of whole spices and fresh curry leaves...
this was awesome! i finished all the gravy in the plate...
and i had more rice than what i normally take...
the fish was fresh and cooked to perfection~ yummy!
Kangkong Goreng Belacan

Kangkong Goreng Belacan

fresh convolvulus cooked in an intensely flavoured chili shrimp paste...
Malay style Kangkong Belacan...
a very nice one with fragrance of belacan and young Kangkong~
Pengat Pisang

Pengat Pisang

dessert of the day - Pengat Pisang...
also my first try... (i'm not a good Malaysian~ >.<)
this hot dessert was great!
banana served in coconut milk with Gula Malacca and sago...
so nice~ i wish they could give me another one...
i think i might try to make my own Pengat Pisang... ^^

Enak KL is serving first class Malay cuisine...
the prices are affordable for special occasions...
most importantly, their service is first class too...
no matter crowded during the lunch time,
they still served with friendly smile on their face...
