our gang's gathering for the month of September~
we had it at Swensen's, Subang Parade...
to celebrate his birthday and also to try Swensen's food...
Swensen's, Subang Parade looks very much better after the renovation...
it was brighter, the colour contrast of white and red make the restaurant looks cleaner and more comfortable...
very good for celebration i think... have you spotted the baby clam?
yes! there were plenty of them in it...
baby clams, diced potatoes, carrots, onions and celeries in creamy soup...
served in a sour-dough bread bowl~
this was yummy!
hardly get a good clam chowder in the market now...
and Swensen's have it... this was AWESOME! i love it!

rich, creamy and goes really well with the bread...
i'm craving of it now by looking at the picture...
hmm... tasty!! highly recommended... grilled chicken thigh topped with slice of pineapple, cherry and BBQ sauce...
served with fries and coleslaw~
the chicken was tender and juicy...
but it has too much BBQ sauce on it and made it tasted a little too sweet...
not what i will pick from the menu again... fried breaded chicken baked with savoury rice and cheese in white sauce...
very generous on the cheese...
i took one bite of the rice...
cooked to perfection and really cheesy~ not bad! curry chicken baked with savoury rice topped with keropok...
i don't really like it as the curry tasted like canned curry...
and the chicken tasted like frozen chicken...
i will not recommend this item, but if you would like to give it a try...
please do so~ who knows they might have some improvement... macaroni, mushrooms and onions baked with cheese and cream sauce...
it was really tasty... i love the smaller macaroni...
portioning of the cheese was just nice...
i finished the whole dish~
if you love cheese like i do, pick this and you will love it too...grilled chicken thigh topped with Teriyaki sauce served with spaghetti and vegetables...
the chicken was grilled to perfection, tender and juicy...
but the overloaded Teriyaki sauce has spoilt the whole dish...
too much on the sauce has made the spaghetti tasted too sweet...
or else, it could be really delicious~spaghetti, fish fillet and mushrooms in Swensen's chef chili crab sauce...
topped with fried soft shell crab...
the soft shell crab was not really crispy and i think the chili crab sauce could be spicier...
it will not be a good choice for those who takes chili with everything...
but will be just nice for those who like less spicy food...

we had a great night with good food and good companionship...

it was the Friday before the long weekend, we decided to have good dinner to kick start our holiday...
our initial plan was to have Italian food, but i changed my mind when i saw the promotion bunting...
20% discount on total bill for Public Bank debit or credit card users...
and yes! immediately we decided to have our dinner ati peaked into the indoor dining area~
Ole-Ole Bali, Sunway Pyramid has very nice environment and ambiance...
with all the Balinese style furniture and decoration...
i peaked into the indoor dining area...
it looks grand with the Balinese style interior~one of the table at the outdoor seating area...
we were seating right beside the big table at a table for 2... ^^
as soon as we were seated, a young waitress brought us the menu and left us with it...
we decided what to eat by looking around and tips in Foursquare...
as soon as we placed our orders, we got our table set...we wanted something refreshing but not expensive...
i know RM 6.00 for Barley Lime was not cheap but at least it worth the money we paid...
the combination of Barley and Lime was just nice...
and it was really refreshing~
while i was still busy taking photo of the drink, our food served..i got shock when the food served to me...
is it for 1 person or for sharing of 2?

the chicken was really nice with the fragrance of the spices...
it was really flavourful, but the chicken was too dry on the breast part...another rice set with super big portion...
for all the seafood lover, this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...
combination of Balinese Grilled Lemongrass Prawns, Squid, Fish, Sate Lilit and choice of Beef or Chicken Rendang, served with Rempeyek (Anchovy Crackers), Lawar Kacang (Bean Salad), Nasi Putih (White Rice), fried Kangkung (vegetable), Sambel Terasi & Sambel Matah...
the prawns, squid and fish were fresh and grilled to perfection...
we had Beef Rendang instead of chicken and it was good~ tender and flavourful...
the Sate Lilit was something similar to Otak-Otak...
but i think it was very much better than Otak...
it was really worth of money! =D

all these while, i thought Ole-Ole Bali served expensive food...
but this visit has changed my mind as their food and beverages are all priced at a very reasonable price...
their service was prompt and friendly...
food was really good and worth of money...
definitely a good place for gathering with friends and family...
or even romantic dinner with love one~
hmm... i'm craving for the Nasi Campur already...
they are doing promotion together with Public Bank...
with Public Bank debit / credit card, get 20% off on total bill...
promotion valid till 31 December 2012...

F concept dining by Buffalo Kitchens...
a restaurant that attracted me after i read the reviews from the bloggers...
the ambiance was nice with warm lighting, not too noisy and the very cute wall painting~
they practice open kitchen in the restaurant...
with the open kitchen located right in front of the entrance...
we can see how the chefs prepare the food... this was great! appetizer plate for 2...
with 1 hard broiled egg, 2 mini bruschettas topped with caviar and 2 smoked salmon on crackers...
nicely presented and tasty~ portion was just nice as appetizer... this was good too...
highly recommended by the waitress and us!
fresh seafood and spaghetti fried with olive oil~ yum yum! i think this is more like a salad~
half cooked salmon and salad leafs served with udon...
this was good as i love the salmon...
healthy and not heavy... will be a good choice for ladies~ they make good paella...
the saltiness and stickiness was just nice...
this is a dish for sharing~ and my girls made it into 4 sharing...
and they can't even finish the whole pot... deep fried breaded chicken breast topped Rendang paste...
served with teriyaki caramelized potatoes and salad leafs...
boyfie said it was quite good, but not to my liking~the prawn was fresh and the linguine was cooked to perfection...
but it was too spicy and i can't have more than 5 bites...
perhaps they should reduce the spiciness...both the desserts we ordered required a 20 minutes of preparation~
the apple crumble was nice to those who love sweet...
but it was too sweet to my liking~the chocolate volcano was the best dessert of all our gatherings before~
we finished it in seconds...
the vanilla ice-cream neutralize the sweetness of the rich chocolate...
hot inside and cold outside~ NICE!
F concept dining by Buffalo Kitchen is still working hard on creating new menu...
will definitely go back to have more of their food...

i won a tower of beer on my BFF's birthday celebration at Craft Brew~
as i don't want to waste the tower of beer...
me and love actually went back and finish the tower...
located at a corner lot in Menara KLK, modern interior design and their special beer bottle as decoration, Craft Brew gave me the feeling of stylish and modern...
giving out vouchers via lucky draw is a smart idea that could always drives crowd to Craft Brew~
we had a great night there with great beer and great food...it cost RM 199.00 originally?! my god!
i didn't realise it until just now i refer back to the receipt...
Brutal IPA was nice...
easily taste the very strong malt taste in it...
but, seriously, 1 tower for 2 was crazy...
it was a late dinner...
hence, our orders were "light"...Caesar Salad with bacon...
the most fattening salad...
but it was nice! the vegetables were fresh and crunchy...
topped with bacon added taste of saltiness... yum~ this was superb! i love it!
roasted pork topped with spices and burned it like doing Satay~
OMG!! it was so nice!! hmm...
miss it already~after the last time i had their wedges from the meat platter~
i was actually missing their wedges everyday...
i didn't expect it to be so many in 1 portion...
too bad, we can't finish the wedges...
but it was really really nice!
saltiness was just nice and with the crispiness...
wow! was so good with the beer~
Craft Brews is really a great place for a group of friends to hang out...
of course it would be even better if everyone from the group drink...
haha~ well... it is also good for dinner though...
non-drinkers, they served good food!

Jake's Charbroil Steaks located on the same row with Victoria Station in Medan Damansara...
i wouldn't have walk into this small corner restaurant if it wasn't highly recommended by a friend of mine...
he told me Jake's served the best steak in town at the affordable price...
Jake's has it's own Car Jokey service counter for it's guests... i think they must have served all the great people...
my thought got proven when we walked into the steakhouse and saw Tun Dr Mahathir's photos hanging on the wall...
warm lighting and old style wooden interior design gave me a feeling like i was dining in a antique steakhouse~
they have a full house that night~ can't believe it's such popular in town...
while waiting for everyone to arrive, we ordered a appetizer for ourselves...the "only available on weekend" appetizer...
it was good! very generous on the minced beef and cheese~
as soon as friends arrived, we got our orders fixed and started to look forward on the food...this was AWESOME!

tasted like out of the world~ the best steak i ever had...

but to pay almost RM 180 for a steak, still not affordable for me... it looked great! and i believe it tasted great too...
the pregnant mummy finished everything on the plate~
i should have order this rather than the rack of lamb...this was good! of course can't compare with the premium angus...
but it was really a good steak~
grilled to perfection, tender and juicy...
and it will be my choice from now on whenever i wanted to have steak...
very much affordable and it's definitely worth of money~ this was NOT good! in fact, it was sucks!
the lamb was over cooked...
it was hard and already lost the taste of lamb...
NOT recommended! the burger was good according to Walter~
it smell good too... and by looking at it, it looks juicy and well cooked!
but still i prefer the steak...
hmm... i'm missing the steak already~
