This is Hainan Noodle with Steam Chicken [RM9.90]. Hainan noodle tasted and looks a little like Hong Kong Wantan Noodles, thin and chewy. This bowl of noodles tasted not bad. It's Hainanese noodle stirred with some black soya sauce and topped with some steam vegetable, steam chicken, fried garlic and spring onions. The noodle was not oily or salty. Had the right amount of seasonings. Some one who is prefers a healthier alternative could consider this. But it'll be better if they served another part of the chicken and not the chicken wing. Because it's pretty heard to eat the chicken with the noodles with all the bones.

CHAWANMUSHI.  OK Aug 03, 2012   (Related Review)

I am a steam egg fan, and whenever I dine in a Japanese restaurant, I'll never fail to order myself a cup of Chawanmushi. As daiki cafe is a japanese cafe, I wanted to give a try on their Chawanmushi. I was quite disappointed with the quantity of the Chawanmushi because they gave lesser than half the cup and when I opened it the top of the egg seems overcooked a little. But they gave quite a generous amount of different ingredients in the Chawamushi. The price of one cup of chawanmushi is RM3.

BUTTERMILKPASTA. OK Aug 03, 2012   (Related Review)

I questioned the waiter "What was their specialty pasta?" and he answered me "The Buttermilk Pasta", so I gave it a try [RM22]. The pasta is consists of angel hair noodles coated with buttermilk garlic sauce with some chili, curry leaves and fried calamaris. This noodle is actually very good. It tasted a little creamy and also a little spicy. Both taste blend with each other so well. But they could improve on their calamaris. It was a little soft when I ate it.

OOLONGTEA+GRASSJELLY. OK Aug 01, 2012

This was my second time trying Ochado Bubble Tea. Honestly, I am not a big fan of Ochado. I really do prefer Coco and Chatime. But it's good to try different thing once a while right?

So that day, I really was into trying something really different and went for their Oolong Tea with grass Jelly [RM6.90]. I really regretted not choosing to add no sugar into the drink because to me Oolong Tea doesn't taste good with sugar :/ Their grass jelly in the other hand, tasted ordinary. Smooth and soft, just like others. Nothing very special.

O'CHARYO. OK Aug 01, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Stall / Warung | Desserts

I have always been a fan of Snowflake because of their delicious Taiwanese desserts. I have tried other shops that sells taiwanese desserts, but none of them could compete with snowflake. Just yesterday, I had the chance to try their new O'Charyo dessert which they just recently launched.

For green tea fans like me, you'll probably would want to try this. It is actually shaved green tea flavored ice with Atzuki red beans, baby small pearls and black sesame flavored Taro Balls. The green tea ice was smooth and it wasn't too bitter or too sweet, had the right balance. Green Tea is supposed to go well with red bean or something? But I am not a fan of red bean, so can't really comment on the Atzuki red beans, but they were cook enough. Not too hard nor not overly soft. What I felt was that the black sesame flavored taro balls didn't go so well with the green tea flavored ice :/ Still prefer their best seller! The price is RM7.90 with tax and all it came up to RM8+. I think the SS15 branch doesn't include tax in the bill.
