crullers Smile Oct 22, 2012

I absolutely love the crullers from this stall as the taste is quite similar to the one's you get from roadside stall's plus the stall's inside shopping malls are much more hygienic than those you find by the roadsides. I got this cruller from a set with the tau fu far but did not get to finish it so I brought back to the office and reheat it using a microwave oven. Even after reheated, the taste is still nice with the sesame seeds but the texture is a bit tough and chewy.

Brownies+froyo Smile Oct 22, 2012

Crumbs was having a buy one free promotion on their first year anniversary and I decided to get a cup with a colleague of mine. I choose my frozen yogurt with brownies and Hershey's chocolate sauce. The server was very generous with the brownies but there was little chocolate sauce and i could mostly taste the brownies in my froyo. The brownies were freshly baked and had a crunchy texture which goes well with smooth yogurt

Platter set OK Oct 22, 2012

One of the newest addition's to Leisure Mall is the Chicago Rib House. Came here with my partner for lunch and we got the platter set. The platter set comes with a half rack of ribs, one quarter of a chicken and two side dishes. I choose to add another RM6 for bourbon sauce on the ribs. The meat from the ribs were dry and not juicy when we bite into it and the sauce was a thick glazing on the flesh makes it hard to taste the porkiness of the ribs and we did not really enjoy the bourbon sauce as it was very diluted. One of the side dishes we got is the corn which was not sweet or salty but rather tasteless.

Lok Lok OK Oct 22, 2012

Whenever I go for lok lok, I'll remember the satay celup I had in Malacca and I wish I could have it instead of variation of lok lok found in Kuala Lumpur. Lok lok stalls do not have the satay sauce instead they use boiling water to cook the food and you can choose to have a few variety of sauces to go with the ingredients. This lok lok stall in Happy Garden usually has a large crowd for reasons I dunno yet but I suspect is the freshness of the ingredients they used and the large amount of varieties.

satay celup Smile Oct 22, 2012

This is one of the most famous satay celup in town where you have to wait more than a few hours just to get a table. The locals claim that the recipe for the satay sauce has been unchanged for several generations and no one apart from the owner of the restaurant knows the recipe. The workers change the pot of satay sauce after every use unlike most satay celup restaurants which only refill the sauce. Capitol satay celup is more hygienic than other satay celup restaurant. The satay sauce is also more chunkier and spicier compared to the restaurants.
