moonlight kuey teow Smile Oct 22, 2012

This is one of the newest addition of shop to the Kim Lian Kee branch which originates from petaling street. This time I ordered the moonlight kuey teow and a small size too. There is a raw egg on top which you need to mix it with the mee before you eat. The egg gives the kuey teow a smoother texture and adds in flavors too. The dish has enough wok hei and you can smell the aroma of it when being served.

big breakfast OK Oct 22, 2012

Came here for a weekend breakfast as I was helping my mum with her shopping list. Breakfast is a meal I would not skip if I have the chance as it allows me to skip lunch if I am too full. The big breakfast comes with two slices of slightly toasted bread, a patty and some scrambled eggs. The patty was a bit too dry for my liking and I felt like chewing on a piece of tough leather. The eggs did not fare well too as it tasted artificial to me or maybe they are doing the eggs the wrong way.

double chocolate mille crepe Smile Oct 22, 2012

Whenever I travel to Malacca, this is the bakery that i will visit as their mille crepe's are the best, if i would say in Malaysia. You can feel the chef putting love and effort into every layer of the cake when you cut into the cake. The picture above is the double chocolate mille crepe and as you can see there is a layer of chocolate cream in between the layers of chocolate cake. When you cut into the cake you can feel the resistance and the cake layers do not shift away and make it a messy eat which happens to some mille crepe.

Basket of bread OK Oct 22, 2012

The Bread Basket is a bakery located at the corner of the restaurant area. Settling in the comfy corner, aroma of freshly baked breads can be smelled every morning. Upon entering the bakery, different types of breads are displayed on the counter. After a long thought, I decided upon apple roll, banana roll and vanilla swirl. The apple roll was filled with apple sauce with gentle hint of cinnamon, while the banana roll was filled with banana puree. The vanilla swirl was rather lack in taste except for the sugar icing on the top.

Best seller OK Oct 22, 2012

This restaurant, which owned by a local Chinese radio station DJ was recommended by my friends who often patronized the place. The restaurant is located along the street jam- packed with variety of restaurants and cafes. There are different types of ramen available here, whether u prefer to go meatless or with pork, chicken or beef. My friend and I decided to try their best sellers (which are recommended by the staff), soft bone pork rib and grilled chicken ramen. The soup was very flavorful but was a little too oily to our likings. The egg with soft yolk was the way it is should be.
