Recently there was a deal from one of the groupbuy websites on Crumbs. I bought a large frozen yogurt with the addition of four toppings to go with it. The frozen yogurt tasted sourish yet it has the smooth consistency of ice-cream and goes down smoothly. I added chocolate sauce, cornflakes, brownies and their signature crumbs onto my froyo. I like the fact that they bake their own brownies and are generous in putting chunks of it on my froyo. Apart from that, the signature crumbs is what makes me come back for more. It tasted slightly salty and sourish and when mix well with the froyo, it does wonders on the taste bud. All in all, the cup of froyo was my lunch and lasted till way past my dinner time.

Recently I got this deal from groupon. A huge platter of pork dishes fit for 6 pax. The main focus of the pork platter was of course the pork knuckle. The pork knuckle served here was massive unlike any other german bars I've been to. The skin of the pork knuckle was crispy and yet has gooey bits of fat stuck to it. The flesh was tender and juicy with lots to go around for everyone.

Huck's Cafe is a unique concept cafe to hit malaysian shores. The cafe does not serve walk in customers and you have to make reservations in advance and there is no guarantee that you will get a spot every night as the cafe can only hold up to 30 pax per night. I was lucky to get hold a table with 4 pax for my dinner that night. This is signature creme brule of Huck Seng, the chef. The dessert is prepared in front of you with the chef melting the sugar and caramelizing the top of the creme brule before putting half a strawberry on top.The caramelized sugar gives the creme brule a sweet finish. We were told that the dessert is made fresh everyday and this gives it a smooth consistency. It felt like scooping into a block of jelly or flan, giving a little resistance yet goes down smoothly down the throat.

Hidden behind the US embassy is this quaint little restaurant selling authentic Thai food. The are lots of diplomats who drop by here every now and then for the food served here. One of my favourite food here is the chor ladda, it is shaped in a flower dumpling and each serving has six little dumplings. The skin of the dumpling is made of yam and flour which gives it a chewy sensation and the inside of the chor ladda is minced chicken with peanuts. The peanuts give it a distinctive taste and crunchy after taste which I liked.

Nutella ice-cream, who would have thought of it. Being a big fan of nutella it was a sin not to try this out. Imagine dipping a spoon in a jar of nutella and licking it, except this is cold and much more richer than what you had. Apart from nutella ice-cream, the last polka also sells teh tarik flavor and gula melaka flavor which I find unique. Although the ice-cream is nice it will take me time to finish all the flavors as it is not cheap and each cup cost around RM10.
