mango strudel Cry Jul 02, 2012

I remember the first time I had strudels was when I was a little kid and my uncle bought a whole loaf for some sort of celebration. I enjoyed the cream and mango that goes well along with it. Some time back, I bought a groupbuy voucher on strudels and was hoping that I could get back the same taste. This time the strudels has very little mango bits in it and even lesser cream though i dunno why. The whole slice of strudel had more pastry than mango and cream put together. The pastry was flaky and dry though I wish it has more cream than pastry.

fried catfish Cry Jul 02, 2012   (Related Review)

I would not recommend ordering this dish. Its from the salad menu in the weekend lunch buffet. On the menu it is written, fried catfish with sliced mango sauce. After poking around, I could not find a single piece of catfish in the mountain of fried bits. The fried bits tasted like fish though but not in a good way as it did not taste fresh and had the muddy flavor in it.

tiramisu ice-cream Cry Jul 01, 2012

Every Wednesday is Pink Day for Baskin Robbins, you just need to show up with anything pink color and you will get the second scoop of ice-cream for free. The first flavor that I choose was the tiramisu ice-cream. The ice-cream had bits of cakes inside it and the cake was not very fresh. It tasted sandy and did not go well with the chocolate drizzle in the ice-cream.

teriyaki chicken rice Cry Jun 19, 2012

I will never understand the hoo-haa on this restaurant chain, for me and my colleagues lunch that day was utterly ruined. We were attracted by the offer of RM8+ for a bowl of teriyaki chicken rice and all of us got the promotion set. Imagine our disbelieve when the bowl of rice arrived, the rice was less than a few grains thick. The bowl was very shallow and the staff had only put in enough rice for a few spoonfuls. The chicken were thin strips and soaked in teriyaki sauce making it too salty. For the small eater of our group, this was barely enough, so imagine for the rest of us how "full" this dish was.

tiramisu cake Cry Jun 17, 2012

The reason I visited this place was because I was told they serve tiramisu cakes on par with those found in Alexis outlets. I was rather taken back with the cake portion when it was served, the cake was smaller than what was served in Alexis and it was cut rather unevenly. The dollop of strawberry jam was watered down and there was hardly enough for three bites. I found that the nuts were too little and sparse unlike Alexis tiramisu cakes which had bigger and more nuts.
