Seafood marinara Smile Jul 30, 2012

My favourite type of pasta, seafood marinara! Looking at the photo, I'm sure you can agree with me that there is so much seafood, it's almost more than the spaghetti! There were 3 mussels, two big juicy prawns, squid and lots of clams. It was absolutely delectable.. The seafood was fresh and tasted extra good with a squeeze of lemon. Tomato sauce was tasty too. It is a good dish and I believe was priced above RM 30.

With big umbrellas looming over our heads, comfortable chairs and the aroma of shisha in the the air, this place is a great spot to relax while having dinner. This plate of shish tahook chicken and briyani rice was absolutely scrumptious. smile The meat was tender and juicy, slightly sour from the lime. The dip on the side enhanced the taste as well. Briyani rice also tasted really fragrant. Overall, I really like this dish and would recommend it.

The Caramel Nut Danish had a mountain of hazelnuts on top with melted caramel all over. Perhaps there was too much caramel as it was too sweet for my liking. The hazelnuts were kinda hard too but the Danish pastry was not dry.

Although well known for it's pastries, Levain also serves pasta for those with a different taste or who do not like pastries. The Vegetable Pasta was quite delicious with a mixture of veges, herbs and oils.

Cute black bun Smile Jul 25, 2012   (Related Review)

This is the super cute black bun with eyes!! I promised myself I'll try this after seeing it in blogs even though my friends warned me against it.

Unfortunately, they were right about the black bun. It was disappointingly tasteless. However, the pizza more than made up for it cos it was very delicious! It has a thick fluffy crust and is topped with tuna and various seafood. Although the prawns were a little rubbery (overcooked), it was still good overall. The Corone is coated in chocolate and has choco cream inside so it can get messy. Both Corone and Strawberry Chocolate were filled with chocolate taste and weren't too sweet although the Corone was getting kinda sickening towards the last bite.

Big Fajita Trio Smile Jul 18, 2012

After waiting 20 minutes to be seated, we ordered ourselves a Fajita Trio each. Biiiig mistake! The portion is so huge, we could barely finish our food.

The Fajita Trio is a combination of grilled steak, chicken and spicy garlic and lime shrimp. All three were very delicious. I especially liked the prawns. The capsicum and onion underneath were lovely as well.

They are served with warm tortillas, house-made pico de gallo, cheese and sour cream. Each were good on their own and tasted even better when combined.

Recommend you to try this but please do share it with someone else.
