This is.. the best main course I have tasted in Chilla Cup so far! lol

The Grilled Black Pepper Chicken was nomnomnom-licious. One of the tastiest chicken chops I've tasted ever. Love the sauce, love the chicken (so smooth and juicy...) and even love the fries! The side veggies aren't your usual dried out pathetic looking mixed vegetables either. I would definitely pick this again. Highly recommend this!

Early morning nasi lemak Smile Feb 26, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Nasi Lemak

This stall opens early in the morning and sells out by 8.30 am. They're located outside a kopitiam (Foon Lei) at the corner beside the market. There are no tables so you have to takeaway. Many people even bring their own containers!

The basic nasi lemak comes with cockles, potatoes, vege, halved hard boiled egg, ikan bilis and peanuts. However, you may request for more or less of anything. You can add on fried egg, curry chicken or even sotong.

These two packets cost slightly over RM 10 which I deem affordable considering all the extra we took. They taste great and the sambal is just love! You should probably ask for more if they allow it. The curry is good enough though.

Lavish meal Smile Feb 17, 2013

Posting another review, but this time with more photos!

This is erm.. fish lip soup (RM 100) =x Sounds gross but actually yummy! It's not too starchy and tastes better than shark's fin soup.

And here's the grand Lobster platter (RM 200)! Comes with fried batter prawns, creamy yam basket with kung pao fried chicken meat, century eggs, squid, super-duper-yummy jellyfish, lobster salad, abalone and more. I don't know how he makes the jellyfish so good! It's crunchy and so well marinated.

Whole duck for RM 60. Love the crispy skin and juicy meat inside. Not too fatty or oily.

Fried lotus root with macadamia nuts, mushrooms, carrots, gingko nuts etc. RM 60 as well which we think is worth it for all the macadamias! Great choice for those of you who don't eat leafy vegetables.

'Lap ngap fan' or translated as wax duck rice =/ (RM 55) I'm not a fan of this rice but my family said it's really good.

Dessert started with honeydew sago tong sui (RM 15). The soup is really murky as he blended the honeydew into it so we could taste the natural sweetness of the fruit. It was full of sago as well!

Looked forward to this the entire night! 'Woh peng' and caramel yam (RM 25). The woh peng is basically pancake with red bean paste inside. Made on the spot so it's still warm. Next to it is sticks of fried yam coated in caramel and sprinkled with sesame seeds. You bite through the crispy sweet caramel and reach the melting yam inside. Yummm~~

Bill was RM 525 for 10 pax which is really cheap considering the kind of food we had! Highly recommend this place.

Celebration:  團年飯

Spending per head: Approximately RM50(晚餐)

Salmon Linguine Smile Jul 31, 2012

Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta

Love how the people at Italiannies always serve their customers with complimentary bread, to be dipped into olive oil and vinegar. Even though it's free, it is really tasty! The bread is so fragrant..

This HUGE bowl of Salmon Linguine is recommended for 4-6 people. They're generous with the amount of salmon. Such thick pieces, all fresh and not dry. The cream sauce was tasty too. In the end, there wasn't any left in the bowl tongue

Chicken Smile Jul 30, 2012   (Related Review)

Although this looks quite plain, it was delicious! Every dish in this restaurant seems to impress me. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Still tender and juicy inside. No problem even if it's dry though! It was covered in lots of tomato puree and bell peppers. The sauce is not some cheap watery tomato sauce.

We also had some kinda lamb and it was probably a meal for 2 as it was huge! The meat was really soft and tasty.
