Yummy noodles Smile Jul 18, 2012

This restaurant is not a high class place but the food is good.

If I'm not mistaken, this is their Szechuan beef noodle. The soup tastes amazing! It's a little spicy (still okay for people who can't take spicy food like me) but if you love spicy food, there's a serving of chilli for you. The noodles have the right amount of bounciness and taste. Meat in soup is tasty and soft, cooked well.

There are parking lots all around the shop but it could be hard to find a spot especially during lunch time. The shop itself can be a little hot but it's quite open so it's windy enough. Service is good and workers are attentive.

Pastries galore Smile Jul 17, 2012

This place in KL is quite popular. The place is a little mansion-like and is packed with cars. Valet service available..

Take your pick from the wide selection of pastries here! Behind is the specially imported stone oven they use to bake all the yummies.

Actually this is just a sausage bun but they cut the sausage to make it look like an octopus. Brownie points for nice design.

Display of dessert including macarons and fruit jelly.

The food here is not bad and the pizza is very delicious!

Preserved Vege Soup Smile Feb 03, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Mixed rice

This place has become one of my frequently visited spots for dinner. I was late that day as I arrived at 9 pm (I discovered that many of the soups were sold out by 7.30 pm! shocked). Thankfully, they still had this 'ham choi tong' which is a great appetite opener. I have this with rice alone. Although portion may seem small for a big eater, I feel it's alright since there are vegetables, tofu, tomatoes and really tasty & fragrant meat inside. The warm sour and salty soup tastes great and has enough flavour to be eaten with rice.

Yummy tong sui Smile Jan 21, 2013

They have a number of desserts (tong sui) sold here but I chose my favourite, the Black Glutinous Rice Dessert. Surprisingly, it was chocked full of black glutinous rice instead of the watery dessert I usually find outside. It wasn't too sweet at all and had the perfect amount of santan added. Wasn't over boiled as the rice is still whole and was delightful to chew on.

Cendol Smile Aug 03, 2012

Categories : Malaysian variety | Stall / Warung | Desserts

Being a Malaysian, food is a big part of my life. Even more when we have delicious delicacies like this! I brought this cendol home which is why it is all melted. If you have it at the stall, it's cold and icy. There is a lot of cincau shreds, cendol, corn and kidney beans inside. Actually we even ask for extra cendol. The soup is very tasty with a very fragrant brown sugar aroma that perfectly complimented the gula Melaka and coconut milk. Spot the bright yellow van (same road as Shell).
