Latino Chicken Chop OK Jul 29, 2012   (Related Review)

So.. What's the difference between a Latino chicken chop and a normal chicken chop? Nothing, apparently. Not to say it wasn't nice but there wasn't anything special about it. The chicken was alright, although it could have been juicier and with more gravy. The wedges, I liked. They have a salty crispy outside and a soft mushy inside. RM 18.90 seemed higher than what we would have paid for this though.

Ordered the Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Mushrooms, extra spaghetti and mushrooms. The spaghetti didn't have much taste and was a lil dry. If this is with extra mushrooms, I am not sure if I want to know how the regular one looks like. We felt the RM 15.90 we paid was not reflected in the portion. Also, they forgot to add the extra spaghetti as requested. Ended up leaving with a half filled tummy.

Couldn't wait to dig into the dish but I had to take a photo first.. This is the Roasted Chicken Kebab with Yellow Fragrant Rice and Mixed Salad. The kebab was good as it was flavourful. We had it plain but if you want, you can eat it with the spicy sambal belacan. The rice was pretty hard.. It's yellow rice cooked with what seemed like Indian spices then topped with a sweet sauce. Then the salad was salty. If this dish had bitter gourd and you ordered a sweet drink, your meal would have stimulated your taste buds well.

I remember paying a little over RM10 for the grilled chicken with fried rice. It was pretty pale in comparison with many other dishes I've previously tried here. As you can see, the grilled chicken was burnt slightly and some parts, especially the thinner sides were getting a little bit too hard and dry. Definitely preferred the juicy chicken chop. Fried rice could not compete with the 'Chinese style' ones where they use a wok as it was missing that 'fire smell'.

Plum Tomato Juice OK Jul 29, 2012   (Related Review)

We should all step out of our comfort zone once in a while to experience new pleasures in life. This is what I told myself when I took a sip of the Plum Tomato Juice from ZenQ. I must admit that it tasted really unique but I didn't quite like it (my friend did though). Obviously, it tastes of sour tomato juice then the plum taste hits you. It's a sweet-sour drink. The cup is opaque here but the drink is actually a lovely peach colour. At RM 5.90, it could be a healthier alternative to soft drinks.
