This corner shop been open/close for a while.

Now this restaurant not only offer steamboat but other dishes as well. I did not take any photos, cause its the usual neighborhood coffeshop cum restaurant.

And I didnt order steamboat so I cant speak for that as well.

Yummy! Reminded me of cantonese style/flavour for both. Hokkien mee might not beat the good ones out there but it fare well/good enough, though its more to the wet version. Both noodles weren't too salty and appropriate amounts of meat.

Price is definitely affordable. I will go again since its quite near to where I live. lol

Simple Fusion Somewhat  OK Dec 21, 2012

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Burgers / Sandwiches

The Restaurant: The restaurant is located inside Space U8; Shah Alam. Priding themselves with offerings of various culinary traditions and nice ambience, it is a self-proclaimed fusion restaurant.

Space U8:

Space U8 is spacious and long, with limited number of operating shops at the moment. It will remind you a bit of Sunway Giza.

The restaurant design is simple and sleek. There is a corner of the restaurant where the chairs are rattan cushion.

Simply Reca menu does indeed live up to its fusion restaurant proclamation. The menu printed on an A3 paper compromise a variety of Asian, western and breakfast dishes. In addition, there is wide array of drinks as well.

Drinks:
Chocolate Mallow Crush (Front; Rm 8.80; Cappucino Hazelnut crush (Back; Rm 7.80)

Chocolate Mallow Crush (Front; Rm 8.80; Cappucino Hazelnut crush (Back; Rm 7.80)

Both drinks look impressive. However, both felt water down and not fully bodied. Although both are supposedly on the crush side, however it felt like an intermission of crush and ice drinks. Chocolate mallow crush tasted like iced chocolate while cappuccino hazelnut crush tasted like iced cappuccino+chocolate with a hint of hazelnut.

A Boost to Health! Smile Oct 24, 2012

Boost juice bar in Subang parade is a small stand alone stall, and you can easily spot it out.

All Berry Bang (Left) & Mango Tango Crush (Right)

Both are refreshing! Boost juice measures their drinks ingredients out properly so you wont even think of complaining you got more than me etc etc.

All Berry Bang consists of mixture of berries with apple juice, low fat strawberry yogurt ice crem and ice. Felt super healthy drinking so many antioxidants at once ahah tongue sweet enough but not as creamy as milkshakes etc.

Mango Tango crush consists of mango, passion fruit, sorbet and ice was yummy! Sweet, lil sour, definitely refreshing with a topical feeling.

Verdict: Healthy and Yummy !

Yum Chah time  Oct 24, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim sum

Dim Sum can be eaten for breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea, dinner and supper! One of people choices of favourite food, one can just stop by this quaint shop in Pavillion Shopping complex.

The ambience, decor everything about this shop shouts quaint, upscale tea house! Dim sum both fried, steam and deserts are display on the open and like cafetaria/self service style, you pick what you want and pay at the counter.

The dim sum despite halal is fresh, sufficient size, seasoned properly and yummy.

Verdict:
I love the ambience and decor here. And I really love the wide variety of tea leaves!! However, the dim sum will set you back as it is not affordable compared outside (dim sum shop etc). In addition, it might be difficult to get a seat during peak hours and the staff really clean the tables slow. Besides that, the ambience and tea list its a plus point!

Roti tissue!! Smile Oct 24, 2012

Categories : Malaysian variety | Restaurant | Seafood | Noodles

Kayu Nasi Kandar is famous in Taipan. There are many other branches as well and is well known for well their nasi kandar.
However, today I will be talking about their roti tissue! Roti tissue is a thinner, crispier, sweeter version of roti canai/thosai.
Not many mamak shops have the skills to make this works, but here they do. lol

Impressive and long, the roti tissue is meant to be shared. There were two of us and we had a hard time finishing it. The roti tissue passes the mark of a good roti tissue, crispy and sweet enough. smile

Verdict: Time for nasi kandar the next round? Beware that parking from morning to night is really a hassle.
