Went to EST first wine pairing dinner with Jean-Baptiste Audy Wines.
It was my first wine pairing dinner experience and i hope i get to go for more.. =p
the dinner was held in a private room inside EST.Menu for that night. RM230++ per pax.we got to try 4 wines which is paired with our courses. I really love the rose wine that we started with.The appetizer was nicely presented and i love how the tuna having a pink frame on the outer layer. the pesto sauce on top match well with the fish too.cream of mushroom that served with a piece of fried mushroom on the side. this dish is ok for me but my friend love it, he said it was the best mushroom soup he never had.. hmmm..my main course, the beef!
frankly speaking i love the grass-fed tenderloin more than the marble score 5 wagyu skirt steak. i will appreciate more if they serve me a wagyu tenderloin but that could cost MORE for sure? maybe i am just not used to beef which is too raw (asked for medium but i think the wagyu is medium rare). but overall i still love my main course! our dessert was flour-less chocalate cake. i love it! the combination of the chocolate and cherries are just fantastic! i wish i can have more of this.ended with a pot of T2 Earl Grey, with more sweet stuff which is not in the picture.

the dinner was great and i need to learn more on wine. hope to see more wine pairing dinner event coming up.

Price starting from RM18.90++This is the soup that comes with the lunch set! The set is not expensive so I was expecting clear chicken or tomyam soup but this was what they served! with lots of seafood!
I love the tomyam soup, you can actually ask to customize the spiciness~Friend ordered this, looks not bad.I ordered glass noodles. it is served in a claypot, the soup is same soup as the tomyam soup i had above but I ask for less spiciness. yummy!!! There are a lot of seafood in this pot of noodles too! I hope they put a bit more vegetables though. =pThis fried spring rolls come with my glass noodles set, taste normal.Lastly, we had red ruby as dessert. Taste better than I imagined.

Oh ya, each set come with unlimited refill of ice lemon tea!!
they restaurant is a bit cold though, not sure is it because I had too much cold drinks. LOL

I know people love to go ikea for the creative furniture and decoration, but I love Ikea for only one reason ----- the ultimate Swedish Meatballs! The food place is canteen style, you take a tray, a trolley, get your food, pay and sit down and feast. I love the price in this canteen! The hot and cold drinks are refillable with such a low price, so good!Some of the sweet pies~ too sweet for me but chocolate lover gonna love it!The thing that makes me keep going to IKEA!
The meatball taste so good, best with the brown sauce and berry sauce. The sauces are the best combination and I always want to lick the dish until it is clean and shiny!=p
not to forget that the fries taste good too!

The Troika, a new luxury residences in KL area, it is located just behind Inter Continental Hotel.
On the ground floor there is a beautiful cafe as well, Acme Bar & Coffee.
I went there on a saturday morning to have my brunch and a little "me" time, doing some reading and enjoying the sunshine.not difficult to find this place. if you are taking public transport like me, stop at Ampang Park LRT station, go to intercontinental hotel/citibank direction, walk in jalan binjai, and you will see it soon, the Troika. The cafe is located at the ground floor of the building.loft design interior. LOVE those huge french window, give natural lighting to the whole cafe. I chose a seat beside the window, enjoy the sunlight!every table get complimentary water in a brown glass bottle. lovely.My tea, very expensive tea I will say. but the packaging is very pretty! It's the first time I have Tea Forte's tea too. my brunch. waited quite long for the dish to be served.
In this cafe you can easily find smoked duck dishes. Kinda salty due to the cheese and smoked duck but the thick tomato slices in it make it better.

The food here is kinda on a high price range (especially the tea!), but the environment is one of the best in KL! and I notice that they have sunday brunch buffet as well. those who love to eat more on holiday can opt for that.

L. Table is located inside Lavender Bakery. I think it is a good concept! I can have dinner in the restaurant and buy pastry for next day breakfast when I go back. =plooks like Lotable right LOLlots of cheese, i like! But they put too little sauce.>.<This is the best salad we had on that day.
The orange slices is so sweet and juicy!Fried seafood on top of salad with vinegar dressing.
I don't really like fried thing so this is so so for me.This is served in cold condition. very special, taste refreshing but I am not used to that taste. =xSmell good, taste ok. The portion is just nice for one person.Huge scallops! It taste lighter than the other pesto that I usually have, good for those who dislike pesto for the green smell. =pMediterranean style rice with grilled seafood. not bad, the seafood is nicely grilled, especially the shrimps!

There is not dessert selection in menu, you can go to the bakery outside the restaurant to order cakes as you dessert after meal. =)
