Economy Rice OK Jul 22, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Café | Noodles

So Young Cafe is one of the coffee shop in Penang that sells variety types of hawker food.

Economy Rice
RM 4.50 for the plate above smile

What's in the plate?
Rice, fish fillets, vegetables and the last is '' hun cheong ''
P.S : I have no idea what's it call in English

First of all, I think the price is very reasonable for economy rice.
The taste of all the food is at the average level, not bad tho.
But I love the fish fillets more as they cook it in sweet and sour style.
Overall, I would definitely try again other dishes that they offer if I had a change tongue

Roti Bah Kua Cry Jul 22, 2012   (Related Review)
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Noodles

This roti bah kua is selling just beside the Shell Station Laksa.
They have pretty good business everyday as well.

RM 1.40 per one, so RM 2.80 for two smile

I used to always buy at this stall few months ago.
At that time, I think that their bah kua is very delicious and definitely one of the best I had ever tasted!
Somehow after so long never been there, the taste of the bah kua pretty much have change sad
At my first bite, I find that the bah kua is very dry which is totally different from what I expect, perhaps they put too
little sauce although I demand for more.
The bah kua also kinda hard in my opinion xD
Anyway, I don't think I will ever buy from there anymore unless they can back to the last time delicious taste >.<

Shell Laksa Smile Jul 22, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Noodles

This laksa stall used to sell in front of the Farlim Shell Station few years back.
Later on, they had upgraded their stall to a coffee shop which is operating right now.

RM3.50 per bowl.

The portion of the serving is slightly average.
Besides, there are fish balls and also a big piece of boneless ''Ikan Kembung'' ( Kembung Fish ) inside the laksa.
The fragrant assam aroma can easily smell from the laksa soup which makes the laksa seem more appetizing.
The bowl of laksa will consists of slices of onions, cucumbers, lettuces, chilly, pineapples, mint leaves, torch ginger
and also not forgetting the black prawn paste.
However, as the above pictures, I prefer my laksa to my plain tongue
Last but not least, the laksa stall also sell crispy spring rolls which costs RM 1.00 for one.

Sugar Cheese Bread Smile Jul 22, 2012
Categories : Western variety | Bakery / Cake / Kuih

Grain Loaf Bread & Cakes is located in Farlim which is opposite Genting Coffee Shop and on the same row
with Maybank.
You can easily spot this bakery shop as the shop is the only green colour building in Farlim area.
Sugar Cheese Bread

Sugar Cheese Bread

As on the picture, this bread costs RM 3.50 which is very reasonable in my opinion.
Those above the bread are the cheese and they too sprinkle some sugar on top of it.
Overall, I feel the bread is one of the best cheese bread I ever tasted.
The cheese melts perfectly in my mouth at the moment I taste it.
The sweetness of the bread with the sugar added is also on the average level.
After all, this is one of the bakery shop that bakes great breads and cakes smile

Ice Kacang @ Kek Seng OK Jul 20, 2012   (Related Review)
Categories : Kopitiam | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato

As my previous review had mention, Kek Seng is famous for this two beverages, namely the Jelly Special which
I had wrote a food reviewed on and the Ice Kacang, which I am going to review right now.
Ice Kacang

Ice Kacang

RM4 per plate.
Very expensive indeed as there are not many ingredients in it.
They just have the basic ice kacang ingredients such as the beans, corns, and ice-cream plus
they insert their home made jelly.
And there are even durian ice-cream if you're a durian fans as the ice-cream is an home made too.
The sweetness level is average, however the portion of the ice kacang is very small in my eyes for the price
customers are paying.

After all, not the best ice kacang in town but definitely not the worse too !lol
