Hokkien Mee Smile Jan 26, 2013
Categories : Stall / Warung | Noodles

Everytime I passed by this stall, I will see a lot of people waiting their order.
They have quite a number of customers every single time.
Due to my curiosity, I ordered myself a bowl of the hokkien mee too.

Portion of the serving is rather little for me.
However, the soup taste really good as it more towards the sweetness rather than too spicy.
Maybe they should give more ingredients such as chickens and prawns a little more in quantity.
The service is pretty fast too although they have quite a lot of customers during my visit.
Overall, a good experience and I will be back to purchase another time.

Uncle Bob Fried Chicken  OK Jan 26, 2013
Categories : Malaysian variety | Stall / Warung | Dim sum

Uncle Bob Fried Chicken is the stall that you can find in every night market in Penang,
or maybe in other states as well that I don't know. tongue

It used to be RM 5 per chicken, but now the prices had increased to RM 5.50 for one.
You can choose either original flavor which is just plain chicken or with the spicy flavor which they
will add chilies powder all over the chicken.
Then, the chicken will be cut into small pieces and put in a paper bag to sell for customers.

The only thing that I dislike about their chicken is that I find there are too much bones in it
as I prefer a boneless chicken or I do not actually mind if it just a few bones.
But, in their cases, its a lot of too much bones in those chicken which is far from liking.
After all, the taste of the chicken is still not bad actually other than the bones problem.

Soya Drink OK Jan 26, 2013
Categories : Stall / Warung

Soya bean is actually very good for beauty skin and yet, the taste is no doubt, tasty and simply refreshing.
It only costs RM 1 per packet / cup, which is indeed very cheap for such a healthy drink.
The soya bean stalls at the night market offers quite a big packet for a drink that only costs one buck.
The sweetness of the soya bean is very appropriate as it is not too sweet neither too tasteless.

Categories : Malaysian variety | Stall / Warung | Dim sum

This particular stall sell at Farlim Night Market on Wednesday, is a stall that basically sells everything based on
fried food.
From fried chickens to fried chicken balls until fried potato spring, everything is sell at the price
ranging from RM 1 to below RM 5.

The potato spring that I had costs RM 3 per stick.
The potato is slice to a very thin pieces.
And it is fried to crispy golden perfection.
Overall, a great snack to enjoy once in a while.

At Isetan Foodmarket, there is also a stall from the famous Kim Lian Kee stall
at Petaling Street that established since 1920s.
The price of the food sell at Isetan Foodmarket is slighty a little bit more expensive than the stall selling at
Petaling Street due to tax charge.
Of course, you get a better environment to enjoy your food with the price you pay.
Hokkien Mee

Hokkien Mee

RM 8.90 excluded tax
Size of serving : 1 person

The taste is exactly the same with the one at Petaling Street,
but to me, it taste slightly better....!
The main reason I love the ones at the Isetan Foodmarket because the hokkien mee is fried to the
style that is more wet compared to the main branch at Petaling Street.
The crispy pork lard and slices of pork which is fried together with the hokkien mee makes it
taste more aromatic and let the eater keep craving for more and more.
There are also prawns and cuttlefish in the plate of hokkien mee too.
And last but not least, the serving portion is very reasonable with the price charge.
