Causeway Bay is a famous place in Hong Kong and a famous chain restaurant. It is their first overseas branch in Desa Sri Hartamas.

The Place
Personal Rating: 7/10
The service is slow but the manager Eric is very helpful!

Select the crab(s)
Only one 130g left, others were 100g and 110g
My husband said those from Indonesia is better compare to those from Bangladesh/ Sabah, Sarawak
This crab is 130g (above pict.)
We finally grabbed two, 130g and 110g each.

The Signature: Popular Typhoon Shelter
"Bei Fung Thong" Crab (正宗避风塘辣蟹)
It is fresh and meat is juicy
Rating: 9.5/10

The Steamed Crab with Hua Diao Wine and Egg White
I personally don't really enjoy this cooking style
Rating: 6/10

Canoodling

I paid a visit to this Canoodling place for dinner and I really enjoy both the food and atmosphere!

We ordered Lemongrass Pandan Tea Hot, Canoodling provided us the honey if want to add some sweetness.

Hearty Seafood Noodles

Rice vermicelli with salted vegetables and tomatoes,
in a fragrant seafood stock studded with prawn, squid,
cod fillet and clams!! Taste absolutely nice, not very spicy.

It's superb! We finished the soup and left nothing!!!
Rating: 9.5/10

It's a MUST TRY!!!

This is an interesting PAN MEE...
It's Canoodling version hand-made noodles tossed with a light soy
then topped with crispy anchovies and a poached egg, accompanied with a dangerously spicy spoonful of dry chilli, and a bowl of clear soup, with stuffed fishballs to calm the nerve!

Rating: 9/10
Also a MUST TRY

I like the spiciness and it reminded me of the Chiilli Pan Mee at Jalan TAR.

Another Soupy Noodle:
Braised Beef Brisket

Tender, melt-in-the-mouth slices of beef brisket tripe and tendon
in delicate anise-scented soup over Hong Kong Yee Mee
Rating: 7/10

Pandan Chicken

served with spicy thai chilli sauce!!
Rating: 6.5/10

I love the cozy and creative deco at Canoodling!!!
Each table come with a paper for people to scribble or draw something on it.
I drew my partner's face. haha...

I hope you will enjoy the dining at Canoodling as much as I did!

Tel: 03-6258 5871

Business Hours:
Mon - Sun : 12:00pm - 12:00am
Off on 2nd & 4th Monday week.

Visited this place some times ago and I think it was quite worth to give it a try
I went all the way from PJ to Kepong during one of the week day after work.
The place is a bit crowded that time and need to be patient to get a legal parking!
Finally we were there for our dinnet about 8.45pm.

For Sashimi lovers

Sushi section

There is a section for Sashimi lovers, a Sauce area, Sushi section and item to be ordered such as fresh oyster, fried Saba fish, deep fried seafood taufu, Shishamo, etc.

One of my favorite is served - Cha Soba
Matcha noodles serve cold

&

The add-on for my Cha Soba, yummy, my Cha soba is nice!

Grilled meat stick by order. * No limit for each table!

This was served fresh, the minced meat prepared fresh on that day!
Squid, Pork and Prawn minced meat that I put in my shabu-shabu

This is the output of the minced meat in my shabu-shabu

I will not recommend their Chinese dumpling "Xiao Long Bao", even it tasted ok but the wrapping skin was too thick!

I also try the Sharkfin soup with dumpling, the taste was ok, of course not the real sharkfin!

During my dessert time, i tried their Gui Leng Gao (herbal jelly pudding), taste quite nice!
Japan Konyaku Jelly is one of my recommendation. Itis lovely and not very sweet.
I like the jelly texture very much!

The durian muachi, made with fresh durian flesh is a must try

The hughlight of the day is "Xin Tai Luan" literally means
Heart too soft if translates from mandarin. It's hot chocolate cake with ice-cream!
I was really satisfied with this "Heart-too-soft".... certainly not to be missed!!

I will love to visit the restaurant again in future!!!

Anyone want to bring me there?
