Assortment of Finger Sandwiches and cakeI tried the High Tea platter at Delicious Cafe which has a few items worth mentioning. For the cake option, I ordered the butterscotch pecan cheese cake. This is rich and dense and has pecan nuts as topping. I love the rich cheese filling which was moist and sweetness level is bearable.

The finger sandwiches were caviar and egg filling which was sufficient to bind the bread together and not too dry. Caviar tasted a bit salty which gave some flavour to the sandwich. Overall very tasty.

The dish was one of the recommended dishes. I like the barbeque sauce which gave the chicken a sweet tangy pairing that was so right. The chicken was grilled to perfection with the meat really juicy and taste very tender. The fries and onion rings which were served together is also deserving mention as they were delicious and crispy. The bistro has a good range of liquor to go with the food dining.

If you fancy fish, you may opt for the Pan Fried Ocean Trout but this is not a permanent feature on the menu. I think that is due to the seasonal catch. The flesh taste a bit like salmon and was tender and soft, not flaky which would spoil the texture. The same side dishes which accompany every mains is very well done with good flavours which was all natural. The best is the boiled potatoes which was just the right consistency.

A restaurant that many will travel far to sample their wonderful dishes. We tried their Hot Chocolate Lava Cake which really looks simple but tastes good enough for a second helping. The Lava Cake has hot chocolate sauce which oozes out when the cake is cut hence the name. The hot sauce tasted semi sweet with a bitter chocolate tinge which was delighting. Strawberry ice cream which is served together was a good pairing of hot and cold sensation. Out of this world.

The restaurant is located a little off the main road but with a little effort, the directions are quite easy to find. That should not deter diners because the food experience is worth going the distance.

Having had a really great dinner, we decided to try their desserts as well. We ordered the Bread Pudding with Strawberry Ice Cream. It was simply delicious with the bread pudding really rich with banana flavour and has a coating of nuts which I like. Those nuts were crunchy and adds extra texture to an already amazing dessert. The ice cream is good with creamy strawberry flavour that was not that sweet. There drops of strawberry sauce around the plate for a dash of syrupy goodness. Great to try!
