cendol!!! Smile Oct 22, 2012

This famous Teochew Cendol is a local delicacy basically made up of shaved ice, coconut milk, gula melaka, red beans and the long wormy green stuff (I don’t know what they are made of but I think it might have pandan as one of the ingredients). It is really good. The gula melaka is thick and tastes good. The santan is fresh and at the right thickness. The cendol green wormy stuff is just nice and not too tough.

Just wanna say that the whole cocktail tastes heavenly, especially on a hot sunny day when we went to try it.Yummy yummy~~

Combo hot plate Smile Oct 19, 2012

A combination of grilled pork chop, fish fillet and chicken chop in sizzling hot plate is so nice to eat! The tomato sauce drenched over the three different type of meats is half salty half sweet,so it is nice!

The wedges are also very crispy.

While at the same time, the mushroom soup served is creamy and very smooth to drink.Inside it also got slices of carrots and corns!

Looks very tantalizing with the design of this special dish with ring of pineapple on the rice. The matter is the piece of chicken is too sweet as the honey drenched is too sweet~~ and I am wearing braces,I dont know why I feel that its hard to chew on that chicken into smaller pieces, even I found hard too to cut it into smaller pieces using a knife.
But the salad is nice! fresh!

Old town Ipoh Lum Mee OK Oct 19, 2012   (Related Review)

Noodles in Old town normally originate from Ipoh and this Ipoh Lum Mee is a very traditional food found in Ipoh.
A dish with very dense soup topping all over the noodles and as you eat the noodles and once a while simmer the soup, the taste of the prawns and fish biscuits also come out. Somemore, the scallion scattered around the noodles make it even delicious. The cocoa colour fried garlic also enhance the taste of this Lum Mee.

You have to wait for about 15mins to get this dish ready in front of you as once you order, the waiter just starts to steam this dish and serve it to you piping hot.

The rice is topped with sweet black sauce while the mushroom itself is quite juicy when you chew it. The chicken is a little bit salty but eat with the"sweet" rice, actually taste great and both flavours already balancing each other.
