It's not only about chicken rice Smile Feb 29, 2016

Tadaaa.
The last time I came Ipoh, I was brought to the same street,
This time slightly different, I was brought to eat their "Chow Fun"
Beating the mainstream on having Ipoh Chicken Rice.
We came to this shop having our must-eat Taogeh in Ipoh.

There's 9 of us eating. But the kiasu-ness in us can't resist the food but to order the food which the amount exceeded the capacities of our stomach. 7 ladies and 2 gentlemen. How can we finish the food.

We ordered 2 "Yuet Guang Ho- Moon Noodles", 2 "Lao Shu Fen-Mice noodles",2 Yee-Mee, 2'Wa Dan Ho-Egg Gravy Noodles', 2 plates of chicken feet, Tao Geh, Tofu and Eggs.
Adding on the salted chicken we tapao from the other shop, it's a bursting stomach night.

Oh well.
But surprisely we managed to finish 95% of the food.
I would highly recommend the Moon Noodles. As seen in the picture above with the egg yolks, the noodles are the best chow fun i eat so far.
It's so good i have to say.

The restaurant is pretty warm as there's no air cond in the shop, and probably we were so kiasu that we do not want to wait for the seats outside.
We sat inside the restaurant which is so stuffy as we sat near the kitchen.

But it worth the wait, and worth the heat
The food is just so so good!

Next time beat the mainstream eating chicken rice, let's go try out this shop when you visiting Ipoh

Tada. after our penang trip, we decided to head to Ipoh for a quick dinner before going back to KL.
So the local brought us to the famous Ipoh town Gerbang Malam to hunt for our dinner.
Not missing the famous food there, we decided to tapao the salted roasted chicken as our extra food for our dinner.

We walk around hunting for good chicken. But our friends had bought this chicken for us

We all love the chicken that it's sapu by all within few minutes.
The chicken is juicy and unlike other salted chicken that I eat, this is not too salty and have some herbs taste in it.
Just taste so good, and I wonder how did they marinate the chicken making it taste so good.

After eating this, all of us went back to the shop and take away the frozen chicken home.
Though the chicken is a bit small, but as compared to the price in KL, this is quite reasonable

Spending per head: Approximately RM19

Drinks everywhere? Smile Feb 28, 2016

Let me share with you a little funny story of mine.
This drink in the picture was so full, I ended up spilling the water on my hands while trying to snap a hipster shot of the drinks

If you are from Penang, you would definitely know or heard of this drink.
Being a newbie in Penang, I was taught to order this "Pat Bou Gu Leng"
Means the Pat Bou herbal drink plus milk if i'm not wrong.
Initially hearing this combination, I just have a strong sense of this sounding wrong for ordering this drink.
But after trying one sip of this drink from my friend a day before, I decided to order one for myself today.

I wonder. How can such a nice drink not introduced to other places besides Penang.
Alright maybe other places are pretty famous for this.
but i am max old for not knowing this drink ,

The taste is unique and something that I don't expect which is
HERBAL TEA goes so well with milk.
I have tough time trying to learn Hokkien on ordering my food.
but i think now having food quick is more important than me learning the dialect.

till next time, Penang

Seahorse?! Seriously? Smile Feb 28, 2016

Seahorse Seafood Grill?
I hope they don't sell seahorse
Oh well. We ordered our ikan bakar

I am never a fan of ikan bakar.
But this ikan bakar is not bad, as the meat taste good and not the super spicy type of ikan bakar which i usually eat.

Except for having fish bones, I think the fish is good.
^this sounds funny, but I am a lazy person who loves bone-less food.
But I am grateful for having kawan who would peel the food nicely for me.
Being pampered by my family on preparing my food well for me, I was brought up in a family that I do not know to eat chicken and fishes when they came along with bones.

But this time, I am a little proud of myself for able to eat the fish 'independently'
As for the environment, can i give a "boo" for this place? Not generally Boo but it's the girls' struggle at night time especially when we had our hair washed.

Our clean and smelling good hair ended up became like a BBQ spot after eating there.
Hoping that the air ventilation would improve.
that helps both the workers and customers.

Feel bad to admit but i am a very #aircondfriendlyperson

There are people who crazily in love with the fried oyster omelette here but some are not.
If you love those non-crispy fried oyster omelette, this is quite a nice place to eat especially during night time.

I wouldn't say it' a must to eat it here in this restaurant.
But I have tried so much nicer Fried Oyster Omelette in other restaurant.
Probably I feel the oysters here are too small for me and the flour is too much, making me feel like "Where's the eggs"?

Oh well.
Overall, I still love the fact that we can still find nice hawker food at 11pm at this place.

Initially I am never a fan of Fried Oysters Omelette, not even trying them. But later. I remembered I started to love it.
But the owner is nice at leastsmile So Overall, I'm okaylol
