Recently when I back to Penang, I spotted a shop at Bee Hooi which serves a nice and affordable economy rice. This stall is actually located just infront of Bee Hooi coffeeshop which used to sell pizza at night. In the morning the shop offers a variety of stalls like chicken rice and others. So, this time, me and dear went for the shop to have our lunch.So, it can be said that the food here is all freshly cooked daily to be served to the customers. There are variety’s of local delicious food which you can have chicken, meat, pork, fish as well as veges and seafood.

The uncle serves a nice spicy curry chicken which catches my eyes when I saw the red red curry soup which looks spicy as well as the drumstick as well.. yum yum.. I could not resist to order one … hehehe

Heaty weather in Penang had stop me to enjoy the desserts in the nearby shop near the Wat CHayamangkalaram temple. The house converted restaurant is simply beautifully design. We made an order of the Thap Trim Krawp which is the mock pomegranate seeds in coconut ice syrup. The sweet delights to favour after the meals give me a disappointment as the jackfruit is slightly bitter.

Not too famous but an old coffeeshop located in Pulau Tikus, there are always some hawker delights there like chicken rice and more. Hokkien Mee or so called prawn mee does not steal our heart though. The prawn mee is not really in par as the soup is slightly bland. It gives me a slight disappointment on the prawn mee and I am sure I am not going for the Prawn Mee again.

Chicken rice is nothing special to shout out but I am falling in love with the chicken rice is Swee Kang Penang. The stall located at the Kedai Kopi Swee Kang which is just opposite the Pulau Tikus Police Station. The chicken rice stall here is usally opened from around 11 am till 2 pm. It is simply selling fast though as we hardly can get the chicken if we are late there.Being lucky today, I am getting the lovely chicken rice. With the butter rice with it and topped with the juicy tender chicken drumstick, I am just felt so good and delicious. The chicken is very juicy and not too oily as well. With the slight saltiness on the skin itself, the chicken rice is just perfect and I wanted them for more.

Chef Delights which is well known as Tip Top Western Food is one the place I always go during my school days. Reasonable and cheap delights of western craving but do not want to burn a hole in your pocket, here is the choice.Black Pepper Chicken – The Chicken is being grilled and poured with simply spicy and authentic pepper sauce. Served with fresh coleslaw as well as fries.
