Laksa OK Jul 28, 2013

Kek Seng is famous for many of its local food which I think is a bonus of all. The food they served are real nice. Whenever I went to Kek Seng, I will have one of this for sure- is the asam laksa. As a laksa favorite, I think I wont miss any bowl of Laksa which glance through my eyes.

The laksa here was not bad but comparable to the Penang Road Laksa, I still prefer the one in Penang Road which is simply nice and yummy. Overall I can say this place serves a nice food but not too excellent lo. I still prefer Penang Road Laksa or the one located in Genting Coffeeshop in Greenlane.

Solaris Mont Kiara is Shogun’s 5th and biggest outlet. Its floor size is 29,000 square feet with the capacity to sit 500 – 600 guests at one time. There is also variety of Thai Food which is also super delighting as you can find a variety of kerabu there. You can find fresh salmon kerabu, mango kerabu, squid kerabu and more. The food here have a large variety but quality wise is still in par.

Satay Hut which is one of the sate shop delights in Penang where the shop is always packed. But this had been so long since I been there when I was a kid and after then the shop seems to disappear. Recently I saw it back again in One Stop Midlands and so went for a try for the sate.Satay – The set comes with 5 sticks of sate and served worth ketupat, cucumber as well as onions. The sate is well BBQ and the taste is magnificent. Its taste still remains the same from the taste when i am young.

Curry Mee @ Kedai Kopi New Cathay OK Jul 27, 2013

In Penang, i think there are many nice curry mee stalls but the one I love the most is still Air Itam Nyonya Curry Mee where i will go for it one month once.. haha.. Other places won attract me much.. and a not bad … can say quite nice curry mee.. is at the New Cathay at Pulau Tkus. Is located along Jalan Burmah and Lorong Kuching and is open from Monday til Saturday from early morning till afternoon about 2 pm.
Curry Mee there will finish earlier.. about 12 pm.. i grab a bowl of curry mee.. and the taste is not bad.. The curry noodles here is slightly different. The squid used here has been fried with chili paste before serving on the bowl. This enhances the fragrance and attracts non-squid-lover like me.
Recomended..
Price: RM 3.00- RM 4.00

ew Cathay is one of the popular place for breakfast dining in Penang. Open early in the morning, the cafe is simply packed with customer around 9 till 1 pm. They have a variety of stalls there. The popiah here is another words of fresh spring roll where it is wrapped with the ingridients of turnip, beancurd, egg bits and a dash of chilli paste and sweet sauce.
