Not only fish and chips are popular there, this time, we had the Prawn Spaghetti Aglio Olio where the spaghetti is being tossed in olive oil, garlic, anchovy paste, chili flakes and herbs. The prawns spaghetti is being served with the generous amount of fresh prawns in it and it brings a light spiciness in it. Each bites of the prawns are aslo very juicy.

Blue Reef restaurant is always being my favorite place to dine whenever I am in Straits Quay. The restaurant is serving great food which includes my all time favorite which is the fish & chips.The traditional Fish & chips is the signature of Blue Reef. The fish is being beer battered and being served with salad, and chips. It comes together with the tartar sauce, tomato sauce or even the malt vinegar and salt. I prefer to grab the grouper fish which is simply fresh and the fish& is well battered which makes the overall taste perfectly good.

There are abundant of coffee shops in Pulau Tikus greeting you on both side, along the main road. Being there I had try my luck there for my quick breakfast before heading to the dentist which is just opposite the coffeeshop. Alike other typical old coffeeshop, Hup Kee do offers a variety choices of hawker delights like curry noodles, chicken rice and more.The Curry Mee here is quite standard which is alike other curry mee taste in Penang. The coconut base soup with a spoonful of sambal is what you can grab from here. The curry mee are being accompanied by generous ingredients like prawn, tau pok, fish ball and the Pig Blood. With the price we are paying for the curry mee, it is a worthwhile order too.

After the success of their first shop in Pulau Tikus, Sawara had their second outlet in Krystal Point. The main focus is on its fish steamboat and homemade Yong Tau Fu where the fish paste is made from mackerel fish. And what’s so special is they make their own fish paste.We ordered the 2 person meals where Sawara it is the small clay pot sliced fish in small size. We are served with the soup and it there are fish paste in it. The soup base is kind of milky with very mild of black vinegar fragrant. It is really thumbs up as it is full of sweetness from the soup base. The mackerel fish which is being served in Sawara is also fresh and good. It gets richer as it boils and is perfect to go with some beehoon and rice.

Swez Brasserie in Eastin Hotel is having their Japanese Style Buffet during weekend and since I am with the stay in weekends, we had our buffet dinner in the hotel as well. The spread of buffet is simply a large variety of Japanese food which not disappoint me at all. It is a great spread of buffet with quality Japanese food which I love about it.Fresh seafood lovers can also enjoy the variety of the fresh sashimi which is available at buffet. Freshly cut to the right sizes as well as the freshness of the salmon, and tuna belly does impress me too. The salmon and tuna belly is fresh and there are more variety compare to many Japanese restaurants in the buffet. Each cuts is amazingly good where it is freshly made and being me who are not a fans of sashimi lovers had also fall in love with it.
