Japanese Mille Crepe  Cry Jul 08, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Café | Stall / Warung | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

The Ochado outlet in Mid Valley opened recently. I saw many people queing up for their famous milk tea. But I was there not for their milk tea but for their Japanese Mille Crepe. The flavors that were available on that day were the chocolate mille crepe, vanilla mille crepe and mango mille crepe. I chose their chocolate mille crepe. Just like their milk tea, only fresh ingredients were used. No additives and artificial colors were added.

Chocolate Mille Crepe (RM 9.90)
The mille crepe is a bit too pricey for me but I gave it a try because it looks good.....

The mille crepe was very soft and creamy....Nice texture; but unfortunately I can't really taste the chocolate taste and I found my piece is slightly sour. Maybe it is slightly spoilt....sigh....wasted my RM 9.90. Maybe will try their other flavors another time cause I saw many people loved their mille crepe. Maybe I am just unlucky to get that piece. The best mille crepe that I had so far is still from Nadeja Cake House in Malacca.

Ham Tan Sou @ Salted Egg Pastry Cry Jun 21, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Taiwanese | Café | Noodles

The name Tuan Yuan when translate into english is reunion. This place is quite a good place for family and friends to gather. Aside from selling various Taiwan dishes, they also sell Chinese pastries like Honey Cookies (Shet kek Ma), Crispy Biscuits (Kai Chai Flavoured Biscuits), crispy walnut cookies & baked Siew Pao. For this round, I had their Ham Tan Sou as snack.

Ham Tan Sou @ Salted Egg Pastry (RM 2)
I regretted buying this. It is not really tasty. I only can taste slight salted egg taste but not seeing the salted egg inside. Maybe the egg is mixed with the lotus paste. One plus point is that the paste is not that sweet. RM 2 for a pastry like this is actually quite pricey...sigh.......

Can you spot the salted egg? Nea....you can't cause I also can't find it........lol....

Dinner @ Hen Seafood Cry Jun 19, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood

Decided to try out the new Hen Restaurant in Taman Desa for dinner on Wednesday with mum. But we were really disappointed with our choice. The Taufu used in the Claypot Taufu is spoilt with sour taste. After telling one of the worker there, they did not even apologize; instead insisted that the Taufu used is fresh.

Claypot Taufu (RM 8)
The very bad tasting Taufu.....The gravy is too salty and oily....bad bad bad........

Chicken Cooked with Herbs in Special Spicy Broth (RM 12)
The chicken were actually quite good but the broth is too spicy....Used too much chili padi.......

Total damage including 2 rice (RM 2) + Chinese Tea (RM 1) = RM 23

Categories : Malay | Food court | Seafood

The food at Lemon was ok ok only. In fact, some of it were pretty bad. Following are the food that we had that night.

My Ice Chocolate with Chocolate Ice Cream (RM 8)
Not enough chocolate taste. Quite tasteless actually.

Kevin's Chicken Chop with Black Pepper sauce (Rm 23)
The Chicken chop comes with fruits and ice cream as deserts

3 scoops of ice cream

Elaine's Indonesia Fried Rice (Rm 7)
For those who love to eat spicy food will like this dish. It is fried with lots of cili padi.

Oi Moi's Seafood Braised Yee Mee (Rm7)
A big no no for this dish. It is super salty.....Yucks!!!!!

Eugene's Lemon Chicken with Rice (Rm9.90)
According to Eugene, he said that the lemon chicken is tasty..........Worth giving it a try.........

Other drinks that we ordered were:
~ Ice Lemon Tea (Rm 4) ~
~ Apple Aloe Vera (Rm 5) ~
~ Green Tea (RM 3) ~

Service charge: 10 %

The total damage for the 5 of us was Rm 73.60

Since I have started working in Tropicana, I've become a fan of Pastry Culture's cakes. But is slightly disappointed with the Chocolate Mint with Irish Cream cake. The chocolate flavor is good but the cake doesn't really have mint taste and the white chocolate decoration on top taste weird.

Chocolate Mint with Irish Cream cake (RM 8.90)
Can see the little green thingy? That's the mint.......
