Jogoya Smile Jul 17, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Buffet | Group/Family dining

Jogoya in Starhill Gallery is one of the famous buffet restaurant in KL. The whole restaurant is cozy and lavish with a lot of seatings in different types. The whole restaurant is very big and spacious, and one will surely starts drooling once looking at the types of foods at the buffet line.

Oyster are available on seafood section, they are fresh and big in size. Raw salmon and other cold dishes are available too.

Coming to hot dishes, there are many choices to choose from such as Japanese cuisine, Chinese cuisine, Indian cuisine and western cuisine. All the hot dishes are freshly cooked, looks mouth waterung and taste delicious too. In Japanese section, prawn tempura is crispy and not oily at all. In Chinese section, sweet and sour fish is soft, flaky and fresh. For Western cuisine, lamb chop is tender without much gamey taste. Too much food too little stomach, one visit is never enough to try out all the delicacies.

Coming to the dessert choices, there are cheese cake, biscuit, cookies, chocolate mouse, chocolate fondue, haagen daz ice cream. Cheese cake is very creamy, dense and rich while other cakes are spongy and not too sweet. Chocolate mouse cake is nice too, for it is soft, smooth and creamy.

Flame City Steamboat OK Jul 17, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Steamboat/Hotpot

Flame City Steamboat is a steamboat restaurant in Bandar Puteri Puchong, serving steamboat in buffet style. The decoration of the soup is simple, with wooden chairs and tables arranged in one side of the restaurant, and another side lining up with ample choices of steamboat ingredient . The restaurant air conditioned, so customers can dine in comfortably without having to sweat.

There is a few types of soup base available, such as herbal clear soup and ma la soup. The herbal clear soup is mild and nourishing, while the ma la soup is really spicy and fiery.

Wide varieties of steambot ingredients are available, such as chicken ham, fishballs, noodles, seafood, dumpling, crabmeat, chicken meat ,fish and many mores. Every ingredient is fresh especially the seafood. Putting them into the soup makes the soup more intense with the flavor and sweetness from seafood, vegetable and meat.

Henry Cook OK Jul 17, 2012   (Related Review)

Categories : Malaysian variety | Restaurant | Noodles

This is my second visit to Henry Cook for my dinner. Henry Cook serves variety of Asian fusion food which would definitely make you return for it again after your first visit. The food is healthy and delicious, most importantly all the food is sold at a reasonable price. They even prepare some books along the wall for you to read on it while waiting for your food to be served. The white interior environment make me feel very comfortable to have my dinner.

Stuffed Chicken Roll (With Yellow Fragrant Rice- RM15.90, With Baked Herb Potatoes -RM16.90)
Being an award winning dish at Food Asia, you don't have to put a second thought in ordering this dish. Marinated with their own secret recipe, rolled with carrots and oven cooked to perfection, the stuffed whole chicken thigh is very tender and flavorful, tastes even better when dipping with their signature dressing and brown sauce. The dish comes along with crisp lettuce and mixed salad.

Retro Kitchen OK Jul 16, 2012   (Related Review)

Categories : Western variety | Café | Pizza/Pasta | Steaks / Chops

Just as the shop named, Retro Kitchen, it welcomes the customer with a homey retro scene. Lots of posters featuring stars from 50's and 60's such as Bob Marley and The Who, movies posters like West Side Story and The Sting, and pieces of vinyl records filled almost every corner of the shop. Pots, radios, irons used in olden days were also seen lining up gracefully in the cabinet. The interior decoration is so attracting where you can take lots of photo with your friends in it. Besides, the food served there is at a reasonable price as well.

Mixed Mushroom Spaghetti With Basil Leaves and Olive Oil.
Loving pasta in any types, but we always avoid pasta cooked in Aglio Olio style as we were afraid with the oiliness infused though olive oil was used. The dish may looks simple but it actually requires a lot of skill in preparing a good one. Retro Kitchen seemed to have a good handling over the amount of olive oil used in this pasta. Every strand of spaghetti was lightly coated with olive oil, just right and not too much, making the whole dish simple, healthy, filling and delicious.

In The Bowl  OK Jul 16, 2012   (Related Review)

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Seafood

Locating along the food street in Ikano Power Center Lower Ground(LG) Floor, In The Bowl is easily spotted with their very cute signboard with a 'bowl' illustration, and is directly opposite to Ketam Village Steamboat. In order to promote a healthier diet, and to allow those who misses home to get a taste of homecooked food, the owner of In The Bowl has aimed to bring in the homecooked food with least MSG and reasonable price. The interior decoration is simple and nice, you would definitely love to have your healthy meal in this comfortable environment.

Chinese Salted Vegetables with Tofu Soup
In The Bowl is really generous with the soup ingredients. The salted vegetables with tofu soup too, was gracefully loaded with tomato, tofu, pieces of chicken, salted vege, etc., definitely a very good bowl of soup to reduce heat as weather was extremely hot recently. I especially like the soft tofu as the little tiny holes of the tofu has fully absorbed with the goodness of the soup, making it so yummy. Nicely boiled, the soup was not too salty, not too sour, just hearty and tummy warming.
