Pop Egg Milk Tea! Smile Jun 17, 2012

If you asked me which brand of bubble milk tea I prefer, my choice would be Gong Cha > Ochado > Chatime.

Similar to the other 2 brands, one can choose their toppings and ice/sugar level of their order. Pop egg milk tea is my favourite drink in Ochado! lol

Instead of black pearls, pop egg milk tea comes with... *drumroll* pop egg of course! The pearls which contain sweetened coffee liquid will literally pop inside your mouth when consumed. Coffee with milk tea, great combination! Coffee liquid is not bitter at all hence I like to "drink" my coffee this way tongue

Whatcha waiting for? Pop the egg today!

Overpriced meal Cry Jun 17, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

I've heard of this restaurant from my friend so I decided it's time for me to try it out.

Stopped by after work one day to tapau my dinner and I chose chicken and siu yuk rice.

I was very shocked when the bill was presented to me shocked RM8.80 for a meal consists of chicken and siu yuk.

Looked ordinary and tasted ordinary to me as well. I thought if I paid such price for it they would be at least better but no, I was wrong. The chicken was ok, but the sui yuk could be crispier. Not to mention that the sauce given to me was rather salty. Honestly I could buy this at any hawker stalls with lower price but perhaps this restaurant is more "classy" hence the price is higher as well.

Will I ever go back? You know the answer.

Filet-O-Fish OK Jun 12, 2012

Hmm, let's admit it that people who lives far away from home don't get to eat delicious and healthy meals most of the time. Home cooked food is always the best, don't we all agree?

At times when I'm missing my mom's cooking, especially fish, I will grab this burger from the nearest McD branch from my house. I can't really tell why I buy this burger instead of fried/steamed fish from restaurants, maybe it's the tartar sauce.

To be honest, the fish fillet burger is getting smaller these days, but I I like how it's made. Soft steamed bun with tarter sauce + pickle relish, one of the reasons why I'm still buying this (only during lunch/dinner time because it's cheaper tongue). If you're the type who prefers fried/crispy food, this is not the one for you.

Simplicity is best smile

Lam Yee Mee & Nyonya Curry Mee OK Jun 11, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook

This is your modified version of lam mee. Almost each ingredient used was the same as those in original lam mee but noodles used here was "yee mee". Prawns, cabbages, minced meat, served with yee mee in starchy broth was certainly mouth-watering. Too make it more flavourful, vinegar was added in but I won't do this personally. If I wanted something sour, I could go for asam laksa, no?

When I first saw my nyonya curry mee set, I was like "Okay, this shouldn't taste too bad". But hmmm.... towards the end of my meal, I was beginning to dislike my order due to its soup because I thought it was too powdery! Other than that, I was satisfied with the ingredients that were included smile

Japanese pasta Smile Jun 11, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta

Mushrooms and chicken can never go wrong together. Pasta Zanmai 's Toriniku to Kinoko no Cream Sauce (Chicken & Japanese Mushroom Cream Sauce Pasta) is one good example. Since this is a Japanese restaurant, Japanese mushrooms are of course added in. Chicken cutlets are fried perfectly that they complicated well with the pasta and mushrooms. The sauce was just nice and not too creamy too. Only problem? Too big portion for me to finish it alone sad
