Customized Sticky Smile Jul 01, 2012

Sticky is a brand of traditional handmade candies and the outlets are located in Berjaya Times Square and One Utama.

They have an open show concept whereby the employees are producing the candies publicly and allow the customers to sample on the candies as well. These candies are vibrant in colours and they come in multiple flavour such as orange, mango, mandarin, kiwifruit, lemon and many more.

One can order customized candies but mind you, they are extremely pricey to me. Only a minimum order of 6kg is acceptable and the prize is already RM730 shocked

Picture above shows an example of customized Sticky candies by The Curve in conjunction with a fashion show. The blue one is blueberry flavour. In my opinion, these candies are indeed fruity but overly sweet so usually I only take one candy at a time only.

How many can you take? Smile Jun 28, 2012

Ikea's always packed all day. Although I dislike going to places with long queue for lunch (because it's gonna exceed my 1 hour lunch time sad), Ikea is an exception, only for its meatballs.

These meatballs certainly do not look very mouth-watering and moist, but once you dip them into the think gravy and a little bit of lingonberry jam, the meatballs become one of my favourite food.

If meatballs aren't enough for you, there are fries as side dish. The quality of fries here are not consistent enough though, sometimes I find them soggy but on my lucky days, they appear to be crispy.

Sausage platter Smile Jun 27, 2012

Sausage platter comprises of spicy chicken sausages, Nurnberger sausages, pork cheese sausages, Weisswurst and garlic pork sausages! All of them were meaty, fat, juicy, satisfying! What's not to be missed when you have different types of sausages? Mustard of course!

Very delicious and this is recommended for sharing. I would have ordered more of this if it wasn't because of its price sad

It's all about soup OK Jun 27, 2012

Categories : Western variety | Café

As the name implies, espresSOUP specializes in soup. It offers 5 different types of nutritious soups. namely chunky mushroom, clam chowder, creamy pumpkin, fresh broccoli, and classic minestrone. I've only tried the first 3 choices and the champion of soup is clam chowder soup! It's the most expensive soup among all because it is damn clam! tongue

Customers can choose to have their soup served in the normal bowl or in the signature farmer bread. One may find the farmer bread to be slightly dry and hard to chew on but I think that's how it's made so that it is able to hold soup in it.

Some facts on farmer bread: it's made of wheat and rye flours and easily digested. More importantly, it's oil, sugar and preservatives FREE.

Simple meal OK Jun 27, 2012

Wong Kok has pretty much the same food offered by Kim Gary.

My dinner - Pineapple sauce crispy chicken with mixed vegetables and rice. When it was served to me I was shocked! "Why are the chickens soaked in a bowl of oil?!" Turned out that the "oil" was actually the pineapple sauce. Ah well I was expecting some thick and creamy sauce.

As you can see, the bowl of rice itself was quite plain. The rice was fried with eggs beforehand but still wasn't fragrant enough. I mixed a few spoonfuls of the pineapple sauce with the rice and it turned out to be fairly good but I didn't like the chicken to be soggy as a result of being soaked in the sauce.

Sweet corn cream soup. Lots of carrot bits and plentiful of corns included. Yummy!

Fried spaghetti with pork fillets in Hong Kong style. Smelled really good, but tasted like Hokkien mee at hawker stalls. Only a few pieces of chicken meat was included along with some green peas and carrot cubes. This dish should include more ingredients for its price.

Potato wedges with tartar sauce. Fried perfectly and not too oily. Nice to be eaten with tartar sauce smile

Service was quite good, but I noticed the waiters gathered around at one corner almost all the time to chit-chat and sometimes missed the customers' requests.
