One Juice Works a week, keep the doctors away

Staying alone outside means I don't get to consume fruits very often. Yes I do buy fruits from the stall at my workplace but it's usually watermelon, honeydew, papaya, guava. It's hard to get fruits like dragon fruit, lychee, mango and the likes. So what do I do? I purchase a cup of Juice Works!

Red dragon = dragon fruit + lychee. The taste of dragon fruit is very bland and it's perfectly matched with lychee. Did you know that dragon fruits are low in calories and their seeds are rich in lipids? As for lychees, they are super rich in vitamin C that 9 lychees are equivalent to an adult's daily recommended vitamin C requirement.

Sweet and cooling, just the way I like. Get a Power cup and it can be my lunch/dinner of the day

When one mentions roast duck, this restaurant should ring a bell in everyone's mind. The roast duck here is so famous that you have to pre-order it because buying on the spot will mean only one thing - you go home empty handed. Duck was freshly roasted, the meat was soft and succulent while the skin was crispy. This dish is usually served with its special sauce, but you can always eat the duck without any sauce to enjoy its true flavour. This is also another dish that the restaurant is famous for. It's called the Golden Pumpkin. Apparently all the seafood contained in the "gold" such as sea cucumber, scallops, fish bladder, clams and mushrooms etc have been steamed for over eight hours to bring out their flavours, hence the thick gravy here is superb Another specialty - spare ribs cooked with Guinness stout. Well we all know Guinness stout is bitter right? But in this dish, the bitterness is masked by sugar, so the ribs were sweet afterall.

A nicely decorated restaurant with many frames around, hanging on the wall. Good concept I had the mushroom soup as starter. Very thick and creamy, with little chunky mushroom bits in it. However, after a few spoonfuls it was getting saltier and saltier. I still finish this bowl of soup because it's the real deal, unlike any other soups served in fast food restaurants. Spicy chicken aglio olio, was slightly too dry for my liking but it was still good. The amount of chicken was adequate and pasta was well seasoned with chili flakes and olive oil.Guess what? Free chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream! Freshly baked from the oven, covered in chocolate syrup, any better ways to end this meal?

There will always be a long queue in front of Sushi Zanmai, I repeat, always. So unless you're not having gastric or have the patience to wait for at least 15 - 30 minutes, do not visit this place. Usually I will only order a few different types of sushi whenever I dine in. Among all the sushi(s) shown above, my favourite would be the unagi sushi. Take a piece of sushi, dip it onto the mayonnaise on the plate (perhaps wasabi and sweet sauce too) and you're good to go Japanese rice has a somewhat sticky texture, and smells even better especially when you have fried tempura(s) on top

I can't finish a bowl of Japanese rice on its own due to its texture, but if you give me assorted sushi(s) with different toppings, I can probably finish 10 - 15 pieces.

Everytime I passed by this small shop hidden away from popular spots in One Utama, the first thing that caught my eyes were the macarons. Little did I know that this shop specializes in churros, or commonly known as Spanish doughnuts. Funnel Cake with Banana and Caramel a La Mode. Why is it called a funnel cake? Apparently its name is derived from the piece of equipment which produces this delicious dessert. It is made of very thin layers weaved like a web and compared to churros, this is much crispier. Hot funnel cake + ice cream = heaven

Basically this dessert has everything I like, bananas, ice creams and caramel sauce, except for that whipped cream :| FYI, this can be taken alone as a proper meal if you have small appetite.
